Yes. Chrome can show tabs that are open on your other devices, provided Chrome is signed in to the same Google Account and the account’s sync setting for History and tabs is enabled. On a computer, use More > History > History, then select Tabs from other devices. On Android, open the tab switcher and search in Search your tabs; results can include tabs and tab groups from other devices.
If you already know the exact page you want to open elsewhere, Chrome also has Send to your devices. That sends one selected page to a device you choose instead of making you search through a list of tabs.

How cross-device tab search works
Chrome associates open-tab information with the Google Account used to sign in and sync Chrome. The devices do not need to be physically near one another. The important conditions are that Chrome is signed in on the relevant devices and that syncing for browsing data is active.

Find tabs from another device on a computer
Use the Tabs from other devices page
- Open Chrome on the computer.
- Select More (the three-dot menu) in the upper-right corner.
- Choose History > History.
- On the History page, select Tabs from other devices in the left-hand navigation.
- Choose a listed tab to open it on the computer.
This view is for browsing tabs that are already open on another signed-in device. It is different from the ordinary local History list, which records pages visited on the computer you are currently using.
If the other device is missing
Check the account before assuming the tab was closed. Open Chrome’s account area and verify that the same Google Account is signed in on both devices. Then open Settings > You and Google > [account name] > History and tabs and confirm that the setting is enabled. The account name shown in the path is the account currently connected to Chrome; a different account on the second device will produce a different set of synced data.
If a sync passphrase is used, Google says that only web addresses entered into the address bar are synced. That restriction can make the history information you expect appear incomplete. It does not make a passphrase a replacement for signing in: the same account still has to be connected to Chrome on each device.

Search other-device tabs on Android
Search by tab or tab-group name
- Open Chrome on the Android phone or tablet.
- Tap Switch tabs next to the address bar. This is the button that opens Chrome’s tab overview.
- Tap the Search your tabs field.
- Type words from the page title, tab name, or tab-group name.
- Choose the matching result to open it.
Google’s Android help says this search can include Other devices tabs, recently closed tabs, suggestions, and tab groups. Search results for tab groups from another device require you to be signed in to Chrome with Sync enabled.

Make sure you are searching the right place
The Android search field is inside the tab switcher, not the regular address-bar search. If you type a title into the address bar, Chrome searches the web rather than the tab inventory. Return to Switch tabs and use Search your tabs so that the result categories, including Other devices tabs, can be displayed.
Search tabs or send one known page?
Chrome provides two related but distinct workflows. Choose the first when you need to browse what is open elsewhere; choose the second when you already know the page you want.

Send a page directly
- Open the page you want to transfer.
- Open More > Cast, save, and share > Send to your devices, or right-click the tab/page and choose Send to your devices.
- Select the destination device from the list.
- Open the notification or received tab on that device.
This command is useful when you are looking at a page on a computer and want that exact page on a phone. It does not require you to identify the page later by searching a group of open tabs.
Sync settings you must check
Use the same Google Account
Sign-in is account-specific. If the computer uses one Google Account and the phone uses another, each device can have its own synchronized tab set. Verify the account identity in Chrome’s profile or account menu on both devices before changing other settings.

Enable History and tabs
On desktop, Google places the relevant control under Settings > You and Google > [account name] > History and tabs. Turn on the option that syncs history and tabs, then return to the History page and check Tabs from other devices again. Android’s tab-group search likewise depends on Sync being on.
Understand the sync-passphrase limitation
A custom sync passphrase changes what Google says can be synchronized. With a passphrase in use, only web addresses entered into the address bar are synced for history purposes. Consequently, a page reached through another method may not be represented in the history information you expect to find. Treat an apparently incomplete list as a possible passphrase limitation rather than proof that the other device has no activity.
Do not use Incognito for this feature
Incognito browsing is not a way to create ordinary cross-device tab history. Google says users cannot sign in to Chrome while browsing in Incognito. Therefore, you should not promise that Incognito tabs will appear in Tabs from other devices or Android’s other-device search.
Troubleshoot a missing tab in a deliberate order
When no tab appears, work through these checks without changing several settings at once:

- Confirm the account on both devices. Open Chrome’s account controls on the source and receiving devices and compare the signed-in Google Account.
- Check sync. On desktop, follow Settings > You and Google > [account name] > History and tabs. On Android, make sure Chrome Sync is enabled for the signed-in account.
- Use the platform-specific view. On a computer, go to More > History > History > Tabs from other devices. On Android, open Switch tabs > Search your tabs and look for the Other devices tabs category.
- Search with a distinctive title. On Android, enter a word from the tab title or tab-group name rather than a broad term that could return many local results.
- Check for a sync passphrase. If one is configured, remember Google’s limitation that only address-bar-entered web addresses are synced for history.
- Consider whether the page was Incognito. Incognito activity should not be treated as a normal synchronized tab.
- Use direct sending next time. If you can still access the page on the source device, use Send to your devices and select the destination instead of relying on a later tab search.
The official help reviewed here does not establish a particular sync delay, network outage, managed-work-account restriction, or other single cause when a tab is absent. Avoid treating any one of those as confirmed without account-specific evidence.

It can locate open tabs already associated with your account
The desktop page is designed to expose tabs open on other devices, while Android’s tab search combines other-device tabs with local and recently closed results. In both cases, the result is an entry you can select to open in the device you are using.
It is not a universal recovery system
Cross-device tab access depends on sign-in and the applicable sync settings. A tab that was never synchronized, an Incognito tab, or information affected by a sync passphrase may not appear. If the source device is available and the page is known, direct sending is the more deterministic workflow.

The documented Android route should not be copied word-for-word to iOS. The material available for this explanation does not establish an exact iPhone or iPad search path, so use the current Chrome interface on those devices rather than assuming that Switch tabs > Search your tabs appears with identical labels.
Practical examples
You left a research tab open on a laptop
On another computer, open More > History > History, choose Tabs from other devices, and select the laptop’s tab. If the laptop does not appear, verify the Google Account and History and tabs setting before searching elsewhere.
You want a phone to open the page currently on your desktop
On the desktop page, choose More > Cast, save, and share > Send to your devices, select the phone, and open the received page there. This avoids searching by title and sends the selected URL directly.
You remember only part of a tab-group name on Android
Open the Android tab switcher and type the distinctive word you remember into Search your tabs. Chrome can return tab groups and entries under Other devices tabs when the account is signed in and Sync is on.

Privacy and account boundaries
Because tabs and browsing history are connected to a Google Account, account selection matters as much as the device. Use a personal account only where appropriate, and remember that anyone who can use a signed-in Chrome profile may be able to open the synchronized tab list. Incognito browsing does not provide a synced-tab shortcut, and a sync passphrase can intentionally limit the history data that appears.
