Usually, no: the Galaxy A11 is not listed among the Samsung phones that support Samsung’s built-in Screen recorder. A Samsung Members discussion about the A11 also reports that the feature remained unavailable after an Android 11 / One UI Core 3.1 update. If the Screen recorder button is missing from your expanded Quick panel, the practical fallback is a screen-recording app from Google Play or Galaxy Store that supports your installed Android version.
Check the Quick panel once
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick panel, then swipe down again to expand it.
- Look for Screen recorder. If the button is there, tap it, choose from the available sound options, and start recording after the countdown.
- If the button is absent, Samsung’s current supported-device lists do not include the Galaxy A11. The A11-specific Samsung Members discussion likewise reports that the native feature is unavailable; this is model-specific community evidence, not a formal Samsung feature specification.
Samsung’s standard workflow applies only to supported models. On those phones, a recording can be stopped from the recording toolbar and found in Gallery or in Internal storage > DCIM > Screen recordings. Menu names and save locations can vary with device and software.

Why Android 11 does not guarantee the A11 has Samsung’s recorder
Android 11 includes general screen-recording functionality, but that does not mean Samsung enabled its own Screen recorder on every Galaxy model. Samsung’s A11 firmware records show Android 12 / One UI Core 4.1 releases for the SM-A115F and SM-A115M, following the earlier Android 11 / One UI Core 3.1 update discussed by A11 owners. The firmware records do not establish that Samsung’s native recorder was added to the A11. Build availability can differ by region, carrier, and model variant.

Use an app-store recorder if the button is missing
Samsung’s general guidance for devices without the built-in feature is to try a screen-recording app from Google Play or Galaxy Store. Search either store and confirm that the app supports the Android version installed on your A11 before installing it.

Samsung recorder limits apply only where the feature is supported
Samsung’s guidance says Screen recorder does not capture phone calls, VOIP calls, or video calls. Copyright protection may also prevent recording some photos, videos, or app content. An app-store alternative should not be treated as a way to bypass those restrictions.

Samsung also describes different limits by software generation: on Android 10 with One UI 2.5, its recorder is limited to one hour or 4 GB; on Android 11 with One UI 3.0 or later, Samsung says there is no file-size or recording-time limit. These are general rules for Samsung Screen recorder on supported devices, not confirmation that the Galaxy A11 includes it.
