Probably, provided your region and platform offer full voice localization for the language you want. Change the game or console language before launching the replay, install any language pack the platform requests, then start the Campaign from mission select or Resume. Activision’s 2026 language list confirms which languages include dubbed voices, but its support information does not describe a replay-only voice selector or a universal menu path. The procedure is therefore a practical inference from the game’s language support, and the exact controls can vary by platform and edition.
What “different voice language” means in Modern Warfare 4
A campaign replay can involve three separate language elements: spoken dialogue, on-screen text, and subtitles. They are not all available in every language. A language shown as fully localized has voiceover as well as text and subtitles. A partially localized language has text and subtitles but no dubbed campaign audio, so selecting it cannot replace the spoken voices.

This distinction matters when a player asks whether the campaign can be replayed in Japanese, German, French, or another language. Those languages are possible only where Activision lists full localization for the applicable region and platform. A language that appears in a settings list with text support may still leave the campaign’s voices in another language.
Languages with campaign voiceover
Activision’s 2026 support information identifies nine languages with full localization—voiceover, text, and subtitles:

| Language | Voiceover status | Text and subtitles | What this means for a replay |
|---|---|---|---|
| English (US) | Full voiceover | Included | A dubbed campaign replay is supported where the regional edition provides the files. |
| Deutsch | Full voiceover | Included | German voices are available where that language is offered for the player’s region and platform. |
| Español (AL) | Full voiceover | Included | Latin American Spanish audio is distinct from the European Spanish option. |
| Español (EU) | Full voiceover | Included | European Spanish audio is listed separately from Latin American Spanish. |
| Français | Full voiceover | Included | French voices can be used when the edition exposes the language. |
| Italiano | Full voiceover | Included | Italian campaign audio is part of the full-localization group. |
| Português (BR) | Full voiceover | Included | Brazilian Portuguese is the listed Portuguese voice option. |
| Korean | Full voiceover | Included | Korean dialogue is available only where regional and platform distribution includes it. |
| Japanese | Full voiceover | Included | Japanese is a supported dubbed-language choice where offered by the edition. |
| Simplified Chinese | Full voiceover | Included | Simplified Chinese has dubbed audio in the full-localization listing. |
The list describes localization status, not a guarantee that every copy contains every audio file. Activision notes that availability can be limited by region and preferred platform. A digital or physical edition sold in one market can therefore expose a different language selection from an edition sold elsewhere.
Languages limited to text and subtitles
Activision lists Arabic, Polish, Russian, and Traditional Chinese as partial localizations. They include translated text and subtitles but are not listed with voiceover.
| Language | Voiceover | Text and subtitles | Replay expectation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arabic | Not included in the partial-localization listing | Available | Expect the campaign’s spoken audio to remain in a language with voice support. |
| Polish | Not included in the partial-localization listing | Available | Polish menus or subtitles do not by themselves provide Polish dialogue. |
| Russian | Not included in the partial-localization listing | Available | Russian text can be used without a Russian voice track. |
| Traditional Chinese | Not included in the partial-localization listing | Available | Traditional Chinese subtitles or text should not be interpreted as dubbed audio. |
If one of these languages is your target, you can still replay with its translated interface or subtitles when the regional edition supplies them, but the evidence does not support promising a fully dubbed campaign.

How to replay the campaign in another supported voice language
Use this order so the game has a chance to install and recognize the replacement audio before the replay starts. The labels differ between console, PC, and storefront, so treat the paths below as an operational sequence rather than a claim that every platform uses identical menu names.

- Check the language class first. Confirm that your target is in Activision’s full-localization list. If it is in the partial list, choose it for text or subtitles only and select a language with voiceover for spoken dialogue.
- Change the applicable language setting. Set the platform language, the game language, or both to the desired option before opening the Campaign. Some installations expose a language selector in the game; others inherit the console or PC system language. Activision has not published one platform-by-platform menu path, so do not assume a setting named “voice language” exists.
- Accept the language-pack download. If the platform prompts for additional audio or localization files, allow the download to finish. Keep enough free storage for the requested pack; Activision does not state a universal download size, and the requirement can differ by platform and edition.
- Launch Modern Warfare 4 after installation. Starting the game before the pack is installed can leave the previous audio active or make the new language unavailable until the next launch.
- Open the Campaign replay. Use Mission Select, Replay, or Resume—whichever your copy provides—to begin the mission again. The supported workflow is to set the language before entering the replay, not to rely on an undocumented per-mission switch.
- Verify a spoken line. Confirm the first dialogue scene uses the intended voices. If the interface changed but the voices did not, quit the game completely, verify the language-pack installation, and relaunch before replaying the mission.
This sequence is inferred from the game’s global language support. Activision’s current support pages do not explicitly state that a language change made before Mission Select preserves every replay state or that a dedicated voice toggle exists.
Can you combine English voices with other-language subtitles?
The available evidence confirms that fully localized languages contain voiceover, text, and subtitles, while the partial group contains text and subtitles only. It does not confirm that every platform lets you choose audio and subtitle languages independently. Some platforms may offer separate controls; others may bind both to the same game or system-language choice.
To test the combination on your copy, look for distinct Audio, Spoken Language, Text Language, or Subtitle Language controls after changing the platform setting. If only one language selector appears, the installation may apply the same language to voices, menus, and subtitles. Do not assume that selecting, for example, Polish subtitles automatically leaves English voices unless your platform visibly provides separate controls.

Why a desired voice language may be missing
The edition is region-limited
Activision states that language availability may be restricted by region. A copy purchased in one country can therefore omit a dubbed language that appears in the global support list. Check the product page or platform-store listing for the exact regional edition, rather than relying on a language list from another market.

The platform distributes different files
Modern Warfare 4 is sold for multiple platforms, and the available language packs can differ between them. A language present on one platform is not proof that the same download exists on another. Verify the platform-specific listing and the in-game language menu after installation.
The language is text-only
Arabic, Polish, Russian, and Traditional Chinese are listed as partial localizations. If one of those appears in the menu but no voice option is offered, that behavior matches the published localization classification rather than indicating a failed download.
The pack has not finished installing
A language can remain unavailable while an optional audio or localization package is queued, paused, or incomplete. Resume the download, wait for the installation status to finish, then restart the game. The exact storage requirement is not stated by Activision and should be checked on the platform’s download screen.
The game is still using cached settings
After changing a system language, fully close Modern Warfare 4 instead of leaving it suspended. Reopen it only after the new setting and any language files are present. If the old voices remain, return to the language settings, confirm the selected option, and perform another full relaunch.

What happens to campaign saves when you change language?
Activision’s published information does not say whether changing the language preserves save progress, checkpoints, unlocks, or mission-completion records. The practical guidance is to treat the language change as a presentation setting, but do not promise that every platform handles it identically.
Before switching, note your current mission and confirm that cloud synchronization or local save backup has completed according to your platform’s normal process. Then change the language and use Resume or Mission Select. If the game presents a different save slot or an unexpected checkpoint, stop before overwriting anything and restore the previous language to verify that the original progress is still visible.
Choosing the right setup for common replay goals
| Replay goal | Recommended setup | Constraint to check |
|---|---|---|
| Japanese dialogue | Select Japanese before launching the replay and install its language pack if prompted. | Japanese must be supplied for your region and platform. |
| German dialogue | Select Deutsch, complete any download, then start Mission Select. | The regional edition may expose a different language set. |
| French dialogue | Select Français and verify a spoken scene after relaunching. | Do not infer availability from another platform’s listing. |
| English voices with Polish subtitles | Look for separate audio and subtitle controls; use English audio and Polish text only if both controls exist. | Independent selection is not documented for every platform. |
| Russian or Arabic interface and subtitles | Select the partial-localization language for text and subtitles. | Those languages are not listed with dubbed campaign voices. |
| Latin American or European Spanish | Choose the explicitly labeled Español (AL) or Español (EU) option. | The two Spanish voice tracks are listed separately. |
What is and is not documented about replay language switching
- Documented: Modern Warfare 4 includes a single-player Campaign; Activision lists nine fully localized languages and four partial localizations; availability can depend on region and platform.
- Not documented: A dedicated “per replay” voice-language button, one universal menu route for every platform, guaranteed independent audio and subtitle selectors, a universal language-pack size, or a statement that changing language always preserves saves in the same way.
- Practical implication: Set the language before launching the replay, install the offered files, and verify a dialogue scene. If the option is absent, the limitation is most likely tied to the edition, region, platform, or localization class.
Platform and edition comparison checklist
When comparing two copies or deciding whether to move a replay to another platform, compare these specific properties rather than assuming feature parity:
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →- Voice coverage: Is the target language in the full-localization list, or only in the text-and-subtitles list?
- Regional catalog: Does the store listing for your country name the desired language?
- Language download: Does the platform offer an optional audio or language pack, and how much storage does its own download screen report?
- Control granularity: Are audio and subtitles separate settings, or does one language choice control both?
- Save handling: Does the platform show the same campaign saves after the language change, and is synchronization complete?
No single comparison table can guarantee identical behavior because Activision has not published a platform-by-platform procedure. Use the store listing and the settings visible on the exact edition you own as the final authority.
Bottom line for a second campaign run
You can probably replay Modern Warfare 4 with different dubbed voices when your chosen language is one of Activision’s full-localization languages and your region and platform provide its files. Change the game or platform language first, install the requested pack, relaunch, and then use Mission Select or Resume. Arabic, Polish, Russian, and Traditional Chinese are listed for text and subtitles rather than voiceover, and the official documentation does not promise a universal per-replay switch or identical controls across platforms.
