Xbox’s official achievement listing includes “Memories From E-Day,” described as: “Find all Collectibles in the Campaign (any difficulty).” It establishes the completion goal, but does not explain how to recover a collectible you missed or whether progress carries over between runs.

Does replaying an act recover a missed item?
The Coalition’s July 31, 2026 gameplay update and Xbox Wire’s September 9 achievement list do not document act or chapter replay, collectible persistence, or achievement tracking after replay. Windows Central’s October 1 review-in-progress discusses the collectible interface, but does not report testing replay. So there is not enough verified information to say that replay works—or that it does not.

Instructions for earlier Gears games are not proof of how E-Day handles replay. The answer depends on this game’s own chapter-select and save behavior.

How to check safely in-game
- After completing an act, inspect the Campaign menu for a chapter-select or replay option.
- Check the collectible tracker to see whether it identifies the item you missed and offers a way to revisit it.
- If you do replay a section, check whether the tracker updates after picking up the item. Do not assume that the achievement will update unless the game confirms the collectible or achievement progress.
If the menu does not clearly offer a way to recover the item, avoid restarting the campaign or overwriting a checkpoint on the assumption that doing so will help.
