Yes—UNA sells a multi-sport GPS watch designed around replaceable parts, and provides guides for replacing its display and battery. The company lists it at £179. Its repair videos and spare parts make the design easier to assess than a repairability claim alone, but they do not establish how easy repairs are for every owner or how well the watch performs in independent testing.
What makes the UNA Watch modular?
UNA describes five component groups: UNA VIEW for the display, LINK for GPS and Bluetooth, BODY for optical sensing, CORE for processing and storage, and POWER for the battery. The product page specifies a Cortex-M33 processor, 4 GB eMMC storage and 2.5 MB RAM. These are the maker’s architecture and specifications; they do not mean the parts are interchangeable with components from other watch brands.

UNA says the display and battery can be replaced at home with a single tool. It publishes videos for replacing each part, as well as for full disassembly and reassembly. Those instructions and the availability of replacement parts are tangible repair provisions, but they are not independent evidence of repair success rates, the parts’ longevity or how straightforward the process will be for each owner.

Prices and availability can change. UNA’s product specifications give the strap width as 20 mm, while a separate storefront widget describes a wristband as 22 mm. Check compatibility with UNA before buying a generic strap.

What features and battery life does UNA claim?
UNA lists a 1.2-inch, 240 × 240 MIP LCD with hardened mineral glass and an LED backlight. The stated activity and sensing hardware includes dual-frequency L1/L5 GPS, heart-rate monitoring, a barometric altimeter, a six-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, and a three-axis magnetometer. Connectivity is Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2.

The battery is a replaceable, hard-shell 280 mAh unit. UNA specifies “at least 10 days” of everyday use and “up to 20 hours” with dual-frequency GPS. These are manufacturer figures, not independently measured results; actual runtime may depend on settings and use.

Is the UNA Watch suitable for swimming?
No. UNA says the watch is IPX5 rated and suitable for sweat, rain, splashes and showers, but not for swimming or full submersion. Treat the rating and use guidance as the manufacturer’s stated limits, not as a claim that the watch is waterproof.
What software can it run, and how open is the platform?
UNA says its companion app is available for iOS and Android and can sync activities to Strava. Its developer platform describes a public SDK with sensor access, reference apps, a desktop simulator, and instructions for building and installing apps.

UNA says the SDK is MIT licensed and publishes housing and circuit-board designs under CC BY 4.0. These licenses and developer resources offer a route for software and hardware exploration, but the presence of an SDK does not by itself establish the size or maturity of an app ecosystem.
What does it cost, and where does UNA ship?
UNA currently lists the watch at £179 and says it ships to the UK, USA, Canada and EU. This is the manufacturer’s listed price and destination information, not a comparison with competing watches; both price and shipping terms can change. UNA states that watches and accessories with batteries are covered for 24 months, while non-battery accessories such as straps and cables are covered for six months. Check the current product terms before buying.

What does the Kickstarter campaign tell buyers?
UNA’s Kickstarter campaign ran from April 2 to May 2, 2025. It reports £261,002 pledged by 1,293 backers against a £10,000 goal, and the page was last updated July 27, 2026. The campaign is launch history, not evidence of independent product quality or customer satisfaction. UNA now provides an order path on its product page.
What can—and can’t—be concluded about repairability?
The evidence for repair-oriented design is specific: UNA identifies replaceable display and battery components, sells those replacement parts and a Torx tool, and publishes repair and disassembly videos. That is more useful to a prospective owner than a general promise of repairability.
It does not establish repair difficulty for every owner, the long-term availability or lifespan of parts, repair outcomes, GPS or heart-rate accuracy, battery endurance in independent use, or long-term reliability. Nor does it support a measured environmental benefit or a claim that the watch is more repairable than competing models. Buyers should weigh the documented repair options alongside the manufacturer’s untested performance and durability claims.
