Quordle also displays Played, Win %, Streak, and Solved counters without defining exactly how each mode changes them. If preserving a Daily streak matters, play the current Daily board and treat Practice as training until the publisher documents its accounting rules.

What Quordle is, and what “old puzzle” means
Quordle is a browser word game in which you solve four hidden five-letter words at the same time. You have nine attempts total, not nine guesses per board. Each five-letter guess is sent to every unsolved board, and each board returns its own color feedback. A useful guess can therefore advance several boards, while a poor opening can consume one of the shared attempts everywhere.
When players ask about an “old Quordle puzzle,” they usually mean one of three different things:

- Selecting a particular date or puzzle number from a historical archive.
- Playing any earlier-style board in Practice, even if it is not the same Daily game.
Those are not interchangeable. A Practice round may give you another four-board challenge, but the current published help does not identify it as a replay of a named date. Likewise, seeing a Streak counter does not by itself prove that a missed Daily can be repaired later.
Does Quordle have an archive of past Daily puzzles?
The currently accessible official page does not show a calendar, date selector, puzzle-number browser, or documented URL pattern for opening a historical Daily board. Its visible choices are Daily and Practice. The safest conclusion is therefore narrow: a date-selectable archive for specific old Daily puzzles is not confirmed by the available official help.
This is different from proving that no archive exists in any form. The interface or help pages could change, and a publisher could add an archive without preserving the same controls. What can be said today is that the published instructions do not tell players how to choose a date, enter a puzzle number, or restore yesterday’s exact game.

What the current page does confirm
- There is a Daily mode.
- There is a Practice mode.
- The game has four simultaneous five-letter answers and nine shared attempts.
- The interface displays Played, Win %, Streak, and Solved counters.
- Quordle is free to play and requires no sign-up or download, according to its official FAQ.
What it does not confirm
- Whether a player can select a date.
- Whether a puzzle number maps to a particular day.
- Whether Practice serves former Daily boards.
- Whether a direct link or browser parameter can reopen a missed board.
- Whether an old Daily remains available after the current Daily changes.
Do not rely on a guessed date in the address bar, an unofficial puzzle-number list, or a tip borrowed from a different word game. Without publisher documentation, there is no reliable basis for saying that such a method restores the same four answers and the same board state.
Can Practice play yesterday’s exact Quordle?
The answer is not established. Practice is visibly offered as a mode separate from Daily, but the site does not explain how Practice boards are selected. It could use a random collection, an unlimited sequence, previously used boards, or another system; the available help does not say which.

That distinction matters if you are trying to complete a missed Daily, compare your result with friends who played on a particular date, or preserve a record of the official daily challenge. A Practice result can demonstrate that you solved four words in nine shared guesses, but it cannot honestly be labeled “yesterday’s Quordle” unless the game itself identifies it that way.
How to use Practice without confusing it with Daily
- Open the official Quordle page and identify the mode label before entering a guess.
- Select Daily when you want the current scheduled challenge.
- Select Practice when you want an additional round and do not need a date-specific board.
- Record the mode alongside any result you save or share. A screenshot showing the mode is more useful than a score alone.
- If a Practice round appears to repeat a board you remember, treat that as an observation, not proof of an archive policy, unless the publisher labels the date or puzzle number.
There is no documented setting in the available help that converts Practice into a historical Daily replay. Avoid promising that a particular button, date, or URL will do so.

Quordle’s format makes an exact replay more demanding than a single-board game. Every guess is applied to all four unsolved boards. The feedback belongs to the board that produced it, so a letter may be useful in one position on one board and absent or misplaced on another.
Why the format matters
- One attempt is global: spending a guess tests all four boards at once.
- Feedback is board-specific: colors on one board do not automatically describe the same word on another.
- Solving one board does not create extra attempts: the nine-attempt limit applies to finding all four words.
- Late guesses have multiple jobs: they may confirm a nearly solved board while probing letters needed elsewhere.
If you are replaying a board from memory or a screenshot, the useful record is not just the final four words. You also need the order of guesses and the feedback on each board, because the shared-attempt structure determines what information was available at each step.
What do Quordle’s Played, Win %, Streak and Solved counters mean?
The counters are visible, but the available official documentation does not define their update rules. Their labels establish that Quordle tracks these categories; they do not establish which modes contribute to each number or when a result is recorded.

Because those definitions are not published, it would be misleading to state that a Practice win definitely raises or leaves unchanged your streak. The same caution applies to claims that a missed Daily permanently resets the streak, that a later replay repairs it, or that statistics synchronize between devices.

There is no confirmed rule in the available Quordle help. Specifically, the documentation does not answer whether only Daily wins advance Streak, whether Practice wins advance it, whether skipping one day breaks the sequence, or whether completing a missed board later repairs the gap.
The practical policy is therefore conservative: use the current Daily mode for any streak you care about, and regard Practice as practice rather than a guaranteed streak action. Check the counter immediately before and after a round if you want to observe what your own session does, but treat that observation as account- or interface-specific unless Quordle publishes a general rule.
Why assumptions are risky
Word games use different definitions for “streak.” One product may count consecutive calendar-day wins; another may count consecutive wins regardless of the date; another may keep separate records for scheduled and unlimited play. A familiar rule from another game is not evidence about Quordle. Importing it can make you promise readers a recovery method that the site never supports.
What to do if you missed today’s Daily
If the exact board matters, first look for an explicit archive control or date label on the current Quordle page. The documented interface does not currently provide one, so you may find no supported way to reopen it.

- Open Quordle from the normal official entry point. Confirm that the page has loaded the current game rather than a saved browser tab from an earlier session.
- Read the mode label. Use Daily only if you are trying to play the scheduled challenge; do not assume Practice is yesterday’s board.
- Look for publisher-provided archive instructions. A real archive should identify dates, puzzle numbers, or an explicit history control. Do not infer one from a random-looking board.
- Save evidence of the mode and date. A screenshot of the header and counters helps distinguish a Daily result from a Practice result if the interface changes.
- Do not enter guessed URL parameters. The available help does not document a date or puzzle-number parameter, so a manually edited address cannot be treated as a reliable restoration method.
- Use Practice only for additional solving. It is useful for technique and vocabulary, but label the result as Practice unless the game identifies a historical date.
If a streak is important, the least risky choice is to continue with the next available Daily rather than trying an undocumented repair. Whether a later play can restore a missed day is not specified.

Players who want a personal history can maintain one without claiming that Quordle provides an official archive. Record the date, mode, four answers if you choose to save them, number of attempts, and whether the round was completed. Keep the original screenshot or result screen with those notes.
A useful record format

This personal log is not an official archive and cannot recreate a board that you never recorded. It is simply the most dependable way to preserve your own results while the publisher leaves archive and statistics rules unspecified.
Troubleshooting confusing results
The page shows Practice when you expected Daily
Check the visible mode control before guessing. A browser may retain the last selected mode, and a bookmark may open the game without making the mode obvious. Return to the main Quordle page, select Daily explicitly, and capture the screen before starting.
Your Streak changed unexpectedly
Do not assume the cause. Note whether the round was Daily or Practice, whether it was completed, and the counter values before and after. Since the publisher does not document the update rules or storage method, a single observation cannot establish how every future round will behave.
Your counters differ on another device
The available help does not say whether statistics are stored locally or synchronized to an account. Quordle requires no sign-up, so there may be no account-based identity tying two devices together; however, the documentation does not specify the storage implementation. Treat each device’s display as its own unverified state unless the publisher explains synchronization.
You found a board that looks familiar
Similar word combinations do not prove that Practice loaded a particular Daily. Confirm a date or puzzle identifier supplied by the game itself before calling it an archive replay.
What would count as confirmation of an archive?
A clear archive feature would identify historical boards directly—for example, a calendar with selectable dates, a numbered history list, or a publisher instruction that names the control and explains how results affect statistics. A Practice button alone is not enough, and neither is a third-party list of answers without a documented way to load the corresponding board.

Bottom line for players
Quordle’s current interface supports four-board games in nine shared attempts, with Daily and Practice modes. It visibly tracks Played, Win %, Streak and Solved, but does not publish the rules that connect those counters to each mode or to missed days. There is no confirmed date-selectable archive for old Daily puzzles, and Practice should not be presented as one. Play Daily for the scheduled challenge, use Practice for extra rounds, and record your own results if you need a dependable history.
