Yes. Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection lets friends play classic games online through hosted Online Arcade rooms, where the host can share a room code. Crossplay connects PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC players, with one important exception: Mortal Kombat Trilogy does not support online crossplay on original Nintendo Switch consoles.
Which collection lets you play classic Mortal Kombat online?
The current official option identified for online play across classic Mortal Kombat games is Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection. It brings together classic arcade games and selected home versions, with online battles. The PlayStation listing covers PS4 and PS5 and describes online battles enhanced by rollback netcode; that feature does not guarantee a particular connection quality in an individual match.

How do you invite a friend to an Online Arcade room?
- Open the game’s online options and turn on Krossplay if players are using different platforms. It is off by default.
- Start an Online Arcade room and host the session.
- Share the room’s unique code with the friends you want to invite. They can use it to join your room.
The room-code feature and Krossplay setting are documented in Digital Eclipse’s update notes. Krossplay is available in both Quick Play and Online Arcade.

Original Nintendo Switch and Mortal Kombat Trilogy
Mortal Kombat Trilogy is unavailable for online crossplay when running on original Nintendo Switch consoles, according to Digital Eclipse’s update notes, which attribute the restriction to technical limitations. If your group wants to play that game across platforms and someone uses an original Switch, choose another supported game or platform.
