Yes. You can move an existing iPhone or Samsung photo closer to the look you prefer using the phone’s built-in editor, and some models let you choose a style before taking the next picture. Treat the result as an approximation: Apple and Samsung offer different controls, and neither documents a universal setting that makes one phone reproduce the other’s processing.
First decide whether you’re editing an existing photo or changing future shots
For a picture you already took, use the photo app’s editing controls. For new pictures, look for a capture-time style or filter in the Camera app. The available features and exact menu names depend on the phone model and software version, so consult the current support guide for your device if a control described here is missing.

Edit a photo you already took
On iPhone: adjust light and color in Photos
- Open the picture in Photos and tap Edit.
- Use the adjustment controls to change light or color. For a broad shift in mood, try a filter and adjust its intensity rather than stacking large changes.
- Compare the result with the original and make small corrections. Apple documents both comparison and adjustment controls in its iPhone Photos editing guide.
If the photo was taken using Photographic Styles on a supported iPhone, its style may be adjustable later in Photos. Apple notes that editing a Photographic Style there requires High Efficiency capture on the relevant supported models. See Apple’s Photographic Styles guide for model and capture qualifications.

On Samsung: use Gallery filters and targeted adjustments
- Open the picture in Gallery and enter the photo editor.
- Try a filter for a broad look; Samsung documents controls for changing filter intensity.
- For more precise changes, use the available tone controls, such as brightness, exposure, contrast, and highlights. If you need to shift only particular colors, Color mix can adjust hue, saturation, or luminance for selected colors.
Samsung’s Galaxy photo and video editing guide describes these tools, but notes that features vary by device. Menu placement and availability can also differ by model and software.

Set a look before taking the next photo
iPhone: preview Photographic Styles in Camera
On supported iPhone models, open Camera and choose a Photographic Style to preview and tune the image before capture. The controls depend on the model; Apple also says supported styles can be adjusted later in Photos. Check Apple’s Photographic Styles support page for compatible models and current instructions.
Samsung Galaxy: use a Camera filter or create a My Filter
On supported Galaxy devices, Camera filters can be applied while taking a photo. Samsung’s My Filters feature can create a reusable filter inspired by the colors and style of a favorite reference photo. It is not available in every device or camera-mode configuration. How to make the comparison more useful
If you have a reference photo, keep it visible while editing and work on the differences you notice most. A practical order is warmth or coolness, saturation, contrast and highlights, then overall brightness. This is a way to organize your adjustments, not a manufacturer-prescribed recipe or a tested formula for matching phones.

- Compare both pictures on the same display; screen differences can affect how colors appear.
- Keep an untouched original or edit a copy so you can undo changes.
- Make one kind of adjustment at a time. A filter may change several qualities at once, while tone and color-mix controls can make more targeted changes.
Why an exact iPhone-to-Samsung match isn’t guaranteed
There is no single “Samsung look” or “iPhone look” established by the cited support guides. Results depend on the specific phone, its software, the scene, and the reference image. Apple’s and Samsung’s documentation describes editing and capture controls, not cross-device calibration or identical image processing, so use the tools to approximate a particular photo rather than expecting one setting to match every image.
