After the story ends, you cannot continue exploring the completed world. To revisit an earlier area, you must load a manual save or one of the retained autosaves from before that section. A final autosave may also let you see the other ending choice, but that replay is not guaranteed on every difficulty or save state.
What you can and cannot do after the credits
The campaign is structured as a linear run rather than an open-ended world that remains available after the finale. Once the ending sequence is complete, there is no free-roam state in which you can walk back through previous locations, search for collectibles, or finish objectives you skipped.

This makes the timing of your saves more important than it would be in a game with chapter replay. Your completed areas are not stored as individually selectable missions, so a missed objective is effectively missable after you move beyond its location.
How Hellraiser: Revival’s save system supports replay
PowerPyx’s 2026 guide reports two rotating autosave slots and eight manual-save slots for each playthrough slot. Rotating autosaves provide a limited safety net, but they are not a substitute for deliberately preserving a point before a major transition.

The official PlayStation listing specifically advertises manual save points that let you return to the game exactly where you left off. In practical terms, that is the system you should use for completionist play: create a manual save before entering a new major area, starting an irreversible sequence, or approaching the finale.
What autosaves can and cannot recover
Autosaves are useful when a recent mistake has replaced your current position, but only the retained slots remain available. Because the slots rotate, an older checkpoint can disappear as new autosaves are written. You should therefore treat an autosave as an emergency fallback, not as your archive of every important decision.
Why multiple manual slots matter
Keeping several manual saves lets you preserve different points in the campaign rather than continually overwriting one file. The eight-slot allowance reported by PowerPyx is enough to maintain a simple rotation: retain a recent working save, an earlier area save, and a separate file before the ending sequence. The exact names and timestamps are more useful than relying on memory, especially when two locations look similar.

Can you return for missed collectibles or objectives?
Not after passing the relevant area without a suitable save. The independent save guide describing the game states that there is no post-credits free roam and recommends keeping earlier saves because objectives missed before the ending cannot be collected afterward. The same guidance suggests backing up PC save files when that platform is applicable; on any platform, the principle is identical: preserve a file from before the point you may want to revisit.
There is no chapter browser that can isolate a missed room or objective. Loading a manual save returns you to the state represented by that file, including its location and progression. It does not create a separate replay instance while preserving your later campaign, so use a spare slot when you want to investigate an earlier section without losing your endgame position.
A practical missable-content routine
- Save before a major transition. Create a manual file before entering a new area, triggering a major story event, or crossing a point that appears one-way.
- Keep the previous file. Do not immediately overwrite the earlier save after the transition; it is your route back if an objective becomes inaccessible.
- Check the area before advancing. Search for optional interactions, collectibles, and unresolved objectives while the location is still active.
- Reserve a finale file. Make a distinct manual save before the last sequence so you can protect it from later autosave rotation.
Can you get both endings without starting over?
Possibly, but only through a retained save around the finale. The ending guide describes two final actions: remain in the apartment while the opening closes, or walk through the opening behind the Cenobites. These are choices within the final scene, not two post-game routes that remain available after the credits.

If the game has preserved a usable final autosave, the guide’s procedure is to return to the main menu, choose Load Game, select that final autosave, and replay the scene with the other action. This is save-based replay of the conclusion; it does not unlock a free-roam sandbox or a permanent ending-selection menu.

The guide warns that the relevant final autosave is not guaranteed on every difficulty or save state. Autosave rotation, the point at which the game writes its last checkpoint, and the exact file retained can all affect whether the finale is available. - Finish optional work first. Resolve objectives and collect items in every area you can still enter.
- Use a new manual slot. Keep an untouched file immediately before the final approach rather than overwriting an older area save.
- Make the first ending choice. Complete the scene and note which action you selected.
- Return to the main menu. Open Load Game and look for the preserved finale autosave or your manual file.
- Load the earlier file before changing anything else. If it exists, replay the scene and select the other final action.
- Protect the files you still need. Avoid deleting the pre-ending save until you are satisfied with both outcomes.
If no suitable file appears, the game offers no chapter-level recovery method. You would need to replay the campaign from an earlier manual or autosave, or begin a new campaign if all earlier files have been replaced.
New Game+ versus replaying a fresh campaign
New Game+ is absent, so a second run does not inherit a completed character state through a dedicated mode. There is also no indication of a chapter-only replay that preserves your first run’s progress. A fresh campaign is therefore a full restart, while loading a manual save is a targeted return to an earlier point in the same run.

What the lack of free roam means for completionists
In an open-world game, finishing the story often leaves a clean-up phase. Hellraiser: Revival reverses that expectation. The ending is a practical cutoff for exploration, so completion planning has to happen during the campaign rather than afterward.

- Do not postpone optional content automatically. If an objective is available in the current area, assume it may not be reachable later unless you have a save proving otherwise.
- Use a rolling manual-save rotation. Keep more than one recent file so an accidental overwrite does not remove your only route back.
- Separate story and completion saves. A file for ordinary progress and another before a risky transition make recovery easier.
- Record the purpose of each slot. Descriptive notes or timestamps prevent loading the wrong point when several saves are close together.
- Preserve the finale separately. The alternate ending depends on having a file near the last choice, not on a post-credits menu.

Could a patch change this?
The documented behavior comes from the game’s launch-era guides and the official store information available for the 2026 release. A future update could theoretically add chapter replay, free roam, or another save option. Until patch notes or an updated in-game menu confirm such a change, plan around the current limitations. Recheck the main menu after major updates rather than assuming a new mode has been added.
