A community mod page explicitly distinguishes support for Hearthfire planters from support for Farming CC, confirming they are separate gameplay targets. The available evidence does not establish every planter location or which ingredients can be planted.

The Farming Creation is a separate content route for players looking for a more farm-oriented experience. A community overhaul identifies itself as an overhaul of the Creation Club Farming Creation and lists Farming as a requirement. That confirms the distinction, but not a complete feature list or which editions include it.

Do not assume Farming is included with a particular edition or available to buy on every platform. Bethesda says Creations availability can vary by region, title, and platform. Check your own game’s menu before making a purchase.
How to check for Creations in Skyrim Special Edition
- Launch Skyrim Special Edition and choose Play from the main menu.
- Select Creations.
- Look for Farming in the content available to your account and platform. You may need a Bethesda.net account to use Creations.
Bethesda’s current system groups existing Mods, Creation Club items, and new Creations under one menu. Its rollout announcement covered Special Edition and Anniversary Edition on listed PC storefronts and consoles, while noting that availability varies. Should you use a planter mod?
If you want to change how planters work, Simplicity of Seeding is a community-made option whose author describes it as making Hearthfire planters faster and easier to use, with support for Farming CC as well. The Nexus Mods page lists version 0.7.1, updated June 8, 2025. It lists SkyUI, SKSE, USSEP, and Papyrus Extender as requirements for version 0.6 and later. For players who already have the Farming Creation, CC Farming – Tweaks Enhancements and Quest Expansion is a community overhaul that lists Farming as a requirement. Its Nexus Mods page reports version 1.5.7, updated March 8, 2026. It is a mod, not an official Bethesda fix or confirmation that Farming is included with your edition.
