Yes. Paramount+ lets you download select movies and shows in its mobile app for offline viewing. Availability depends on the title, your plan and country, and a supported device; in the U.S., Paramount+ lists downloads as a Premium feature. Here’s how to save a movie and what to check if the download option is missing.
What you need before downloading
- An eligible plan in your country: Paramount+ lists downloads as a Premium feature on its U.S. plan page. Its support FAQ says downloads are unavailable on the Basic with Ads plan in Canada and Australia. Plan names and benefits can differ by market, so check the plan details for your country.
- A supported mobile device: Paramount+ lists iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 16 or later, and Android phones and tablets running Android 7 or later.
- A downloadable title: Only selected movies and episodes are available. Look for the download icon beside the title; if it is absent, that title cannot be downloaded through the feature.
- Available device storage: Downloads are stored on your device. If the app reports insufficient storage, free space before trying again.
Paramount+ does not establish that downloads are available on every plan or in every country. Its U.S. plan page lists downloads among Premium features, while its download FAQ identifies the Canada and Australia Basic with Ads exception.

How to download a Paramount+ movie
- Open the Paramount+ app on a supported iPhone, iPad, or Android phone or tablet.
- Find the movie or episode you want and check for the download icon beside it.
- Tap the icon to start the download. You can download more than one video at a time. If you leave the app before a download finishes, it pauses.
- When the download is complete, open the app’s Downloads area and select the title to play it offline.
Wi-Fi is a practical choice if you want to avoid using mobile data or incurring data charges. Paramount+ does not publish file sizes in the cited guidance.

Paramount+ Support’s FAQ, dated October 13, 2025, says a download remains in your library for 30 days from the download date. Once playback starts, you have 48 hours to finish watching before it expires. An expired title can be downloaded again if it remains available.

| Limit | Paramount+ guidance |
|---|---|
| Time in download library | 30 days from download |
| Time after playback begins | 48 hours to finish watching |
| Videos in the library | Up to 25 at a time |
| Downloads of the same video | Up to five across devices; a sixth attempt triggers an error |
These limits are stated in the Paramount+ download FAQ. If you delete a download, Paramount+ says it cannot resume from the position where you had stopped watching.
Why the download option may be missing
- Check the title: Not every movie or episode is downloadable. Look for the download icon; if it is not there, the feature is not available for that title.
- Check your plan and country: Downloads are listed for Premium on the U.S. plan page. The support FAQ specifically excludes Basic with Ads in Canada and Australia. Confirm the benefits of your local plan rather than assuming the U.S. lineup applies.
- Check your device and software: Downloads require iOS 16 or later on iPhone or iPad, or Android 7 or later on an Android phone or tablet. Update the Paramount+ app if needed.
- Check free storage: If you see an insufficient-storage message, remove files or apps from the device and try again.
The supported-device requirements are listed in Paramount+ Support’s device guidance. Paramount+ does not state a specific app version requirement in that guidance.

Will downloads work while traveling?
Not necessarily. A saved title may become inaccessible after you cross a border if Paramount+ does not have rights to offer it in your destination market. A title can also expire if Paramount+ no longer holds the rights, even if you previously downloaded it. Download availability therefore does not guarantee playback in every location or for the full library period.
