Yes. Emirates says it provides in-seat charging on all its aircraft, so you can charge your phone from the power connection at your seat. The connection varies by aircraft and seat, and power may not be available for the whole flight. Bring a cable that matches your phone and seat, and charge your phone before you leave. You may carry a qualifying power bank, but Emirates prohibits using it to charge devices or charging it from aircraft power.
How to charge your phone on board
Use the seat’s available power connection and a compatible cable. Emirates’ A350 factsheet specifies a 60-watt USB-C charging port at every seat, but that detail should not be assumed for every aircraft or seat. Charging speed also depends on your phone and the connection.

No. Since 1 October 2025, Emirates has prohibited using any power bank in the cabin to charge another device. You also cannot charge a power bank from the aircraft’s power supply. Carrying one is not permission to use it in flight.

Can you bring a power bank?
Emirates permits one power bank of up to 100 Wh in cabin baggage, provided its capacity rating is clearly visible. It must not go in checked baggage or an overhead locker. Keep it accessible in the seat pocket or in a bag under the seat in front of you.
Will seat power work for the entire flight?
Not necessarily. Emirates says in-seat power cannot be guaranteed throughout the whole flight. Its accessibility guidance makes this point in the context of PAP/CPAP equipment; it is a useful warning not to rely on seat power as your only charging plan. Fully charge your phone before departure, especially for a longer flight.

What to check before you fly
- Confirm the aircraft and, where possible, the seat configuration for your itinerary.
- Bring a cable compatible with the seat’s connection and your phone.
- Charge your phone before departure rather than counting on continuous seat power.
- If you bring a power bank, make sure its rating is visible, keep it within the cabin allowance, and stow it where Emirates directs.
