The practical route is to check the instructions for your specific account, search Samsung Apps for the player they specify, and install it only if it appears in your TV’s app store. If the player is unavailable, use the external-device option supported by your account’s instructions.
First, check which Apollo instructions apply to your account
Search results and setup pages using the Apollo name give different Samsung TV directions. One Apollo smart-TV guide describes installing an IPTV player from the Samsung app store and signing in with account credentials. A separate Apollo-branded support page says Samsung TV users need a Firestick or Android box. The available information does not establish that both pages describe the same service operator.

Use the player name and device guidance in your own account portal or welcome email. Do not assume there is a universal Apollo app for Samsung TVs or that an app recommended by another Apollo-branded site will work with your subscription. Install the player if it is available in Samsung Apps
Samsung’s U.S. support instructions say that only apps available in the TV’s app store can be installed directly. The general steps are:

- From the TV’s Home screen, open Apps.
- Choose Search and look for the exact player named in your account instructions.
- If the player appears, select it and choose Install.
- After installation, open the player from the Apps list.

Enter the login details supplied for your subscription
If your account’s instructions support an app-store player, follow their sign-in steps. The Apollo smart-TV setup guide describes an Xtream Codes login using a username, password, and server URL, and names IPTV Smarters Pro and IBO Player as examples for its workflow. Those app names are not a guarantee that either is listed on your TV, nor that either is right for your account.

Retrieve the player and credentials from your own service portal or welcome email. Enter the details exactly as supplied; if the account materials specify a different login method, follow that instead. The guide’s workflow is described at getapollo.tv/setup/smarttv.
If the player is missing from the TV’s app store
A player that does not appear in Samsung Apps cannot be installed directly through the TV’s standard app-store process. Samsung’s guidance limits direct installation to store-listed apps; do not try to install an Android APK on the TV as a workaround. App and service availability can also vary by region and change over time, according to Samsung’s Smart Hub and apps information.

Check your account portal or welcome email for a device-specific alternative. The Apollo smart-TV guide names a Fire TV Stick as an option when a suitable TV-store player is unavailable, while another Apollo-branded support page points to a Firestick or Android box. Treat an external streaming device as optional hardware, not as a replacement for a subscription or valid account credentials. Confirm that your account’s setup steps support the device before buying or configuring one.

- Install on the TV: Use this route when the account instructions name a player and that player appears in Samsung Apps. It avoids adding another device, but requires navigating the TV’s store and entering the account details.
- Use an external streaming device: Consider this when the required player is not listed on the TV and your account instructions support a compatible device. It adds hardware and its own setup steps; confirm the exact device instructions with the service first.
The available setup pages do not establish comparative performance, picture quality, or device pricing. They also do not verify compatibility for every Samsung model or region.
