You generally can’t add the Afterpay Card to Samsung Wallet for tap-to-pay. An Afterpay merchant FAQ says Afterpay Card phone payments are not supported in Samsung Pay, which is part of Samsung Wallet. That FAQ is merchant-facing and reflects older FAQ context, so it is not confirmation from a current consumer support page.
How do I add Afterpay to Samsung Wallet?
The cited Afterpay merchant FAQ says Afterpay Card phone payments are not supported in Samsung Pay. Since Samsung Pay is part of Samsung Wallet, the FAQ does not support instructions claiming you can add the Afterpay Card for Samsung Wallet phone payments. The FAQ’s date is ambiguous: its search listing labels it as published 10 months ago, while its filename and contents point to a 2021 FAQ context. Treat it as a qualified indication, not a newly confirmed policy.

Samsung Wallet’s card-add screen is not a workaround for a card the issuer or service does not support. Samsung’s standard enrollment instructions apply to eligible credit and debit cards; they do not establish that Afterpay is compatible.

What to do if you want to pay with Afterpay
The cited FAQ does not establish a universal alternative checkout method across regions or merchants. Check the payment options shown by the specific retailer and consult Afterpay’s current support information for your region; availability can differ. Don’t assume that an option offered at one store or in one market will work everywhere.
