No. Viewers can’t send Super Thanks while a YouTube livestream is live, even if it runs 24/7. During an eligible live broadcast, viewers may instead be able to use Super Chat or Super Stickers. After the broadcast ends, Super Thanks may be available on its archived long-form video if the video and channel qualify.
Why Super Thanks isn’t available while a stream is live
YouTube assigns its Supers features to different content states. Super Thanks is for eligible long-form videos and Shorts; live streams and Premieres are ineligible for it while live. Continuous operation does not create an exception to that rule.
During an eligible livestream, the relevant features are Super Chat and Super Stickers. Super Chat highlights a paid message in live chat; Super Stickers let viewers surface animated images there. They are separate features, not alternate names for Super Thanks.
Live chat is available on YouTube watch pages, not embedded players. Whether a viewer sees paid chat features also depends on availability and eligibility; subscriber-only chat settings may restrict who can participate.

Can viewers use Super Thanks on the replay?
Possibly. Once a livestream has ended and is available as an archived long-form video, Super Thanks may appear on that replay if it meets YouTube’s channel and video requirements. An archive does not automatically become eligible just because the live broadcast is over.
YouTube lists several video-level exclusions, including age-restricted, unlisted, private, Made for Kids, copyright-claimed, and YouTube Giving fundraiser videos, as well as videos with comments turned off. A livestream or Premiere is excluded while live; its archived long-form video may qualify afterward, subject to the other rules.

What creators need for Super Thanks
Eligibility depends on more than the replay itself. YouTube says creators must meet minimum fan-funding requirements, live in a supported location, comply with applicable terms and policies—including the Commerce Product Module where applicable—and avoid disqualifying channel conditions. YouTube gives Made for Kids channels and channels with a significant number of ineligible videos as examples; some music channels may also be ineligible.
For account-specific access, check YouTube Studio’s Earn section for the Supers tab. YouTube says that tab appears when the creator has access. Eligible Supers products are associated with different formats: Super Chat and Super Stickers with eligible live streams and Premieres, and Super Thanks with eligible long-form videos and Shorts.

Super Thanks is not a donation button
YouTube describes Super Thanks as a way for viewers to show extra gratitude and explicitly says it “isn’t a crowdfunding or donation tool.” If a creator uses a 24/7 stream, the live broadcast and its replay remain distinct contexts: live viewers may have access to the eligible live Supers, while Super Thanks may be available on a qualifying archive.
YouTube Help says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google, calculated after local sales tax and applicable App Store fees on iOS are deducted. That figure applies to Super Thanks and should not be treated as the share for other YouTube monetization products.
