Touch Grass Sports AI is a project-author-described tool that turns choices such as sport, fitness level, available time, and location into an outdoor challenge. What “offline” means here—and what is unverified
The author presents the project as fully offline, says no data leaves the device, and describes the Ollama models as running locally. Those are project claims, not independently verified network or privacy findings. The write-up provides no network-traffic test or privacy audit, and does not specify model versions or hardware requirements.
It also gives no performance benchmarks or evidence that generated challenges improve fitness, are safe for every participant, or reliably account for local conditions and ability. Treat a generated prompt as an idea to review—not as a safety assessment or individualized training plan.

What you need to know before trying it
- Model setup: The LLM option relies on Ollama and a local model; the write-up does not state minimum hardware requirements.
- No-model option: A rule-based mode is described as available for users who do not want to run an LLM.
- Equipment: The write-up identifies no physical item required to use the software.
- Safety and suitability: Check any challenge against your ability, the environment, weather, and ordinary activity precautions before doing it.
