How to check whether your Windows 10 PC qualifies
- Check Windows type, processor, and RAM. Search for This PC, right-click it, and select Properties. Note whether Windows is 64-bit, then compare the processor and installed RAM with the table above.
- Identify the graphics adapter. Open Device Manager and expand Display adapters. Compare the listed model with EA’s graphics requirements and confirm DirectX 11 compatibility.
- Check available disk space. Make sure the drive where you plan to install the game has the required free space, including the additional allowance for custom content and saved games.
- Confirm you can activate online. The game requires an internet connection for product activation. EA’s EA app download and installation guidance also specifies a 64-bit Windows PC running Windows 10 or 11.
What the 64-bit requirement means
EA says a PC running 64-bit Windows with at least 4 GB of RAM can use the 64-bit version of The Sims 4, and notes that it can help the game run better.
