In OBS Studio, add one video as a Media Source and enable Loop. To rotate several devotional videos, use a VLC Video source with a playlist and enable Loop Playlist. That repeats playback in OBS; it does not guarantee uninterrupted internet delivery, an always-available YouTube stream, or a complete YouTube replay.
Loop one devotional video in OBS
- Open the scene you want to stream. In the Sources panel, select + and add a Media Source.
- Name the source if prompted, then choose the local video file. OBS Media Source supports common formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI and WebM. OBS Media Sources
- In the source properties, enable Loop, then confirm the settings. The video should restart when it reaches the end.
- Check the preview and the audio mixer. Confirm the picture is visible and the expected audio is reaching the mixer before you go live.
Media Source is the straightforward choice when you want the same file to repeat. OBS scenes combine sources into the output sent to the encoder stream. OBS scenes and sources
Loop a playlist of devotional videos
- Install VLC, then in OBS select + in the Sources panel and add a VLC Video source.
- In the source properties, add the video files to the playlist in the order you want them to play.
- Enable Loop Playlist to repeat the full playlist. Use the source’s shuffle option only if you want the order to vary.
- Check the OBS preview and audio mixer to confirm the files play as expected.
The VLC Video source depends on VLC being installed. OBS documentation specifies that 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. OBS Media Sources
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, start or schedule an encoder stream and use the connection details shown in YouTube’s stream setup.
- In OBS, open Settings and select Stream. Choose YouTube as the service and connect or enter the stream key using YouTube’s displayed setup instructions.
- Return to the scene, confirm the preview and audio, then start streaming in OBS. Check YouTube Studio to confirm the incoming stream is available before relying on it.
YouTube controls channel eligibility: the channel must be enabled and verified for live streaming and must not have a current live-stream restriction. OBS looping only handles local playback; the computer, OBS, network connection and YouTube’s acceptance of the stream remain separate parts of the chain. YouTube: Get started with live streaming

What “continuous” does—and does not—mean
OBS can repeat playback, not guarantee delivery
Loop and Loop Playlist restart media inside OBS. They do not prevent a power loss, computer sleep, OBS failure, internet outage or YouTube interruption. If any of those stops the encoder feed, the local playback setting cannot restore the connection by itself.
YouTube may not keep a complete 24/7 archive
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. Streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a complete replay, keep a local recording rather than relying on YouTube’s archive. YouTube: Archive live streams

Late viewers may not be able to rewind freely
YouTube says DVR rewind can be limited or unavailable for very long streams, including streams longer than 12 hours. That affects viewers who join later and want to go back to an earlier part of the broadcast. YouTube: DVR on live streams
Clear music and video rights before streaming
Owning a devotional recording or having permission to use it in an ordinary video does not by itself establish that the permission covers a YouTube livestream. YouTube scans live streams for third-party matches. If it finds one, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the matched content continues, the stream can be interrupted or terminated. YouTube also says licensed content can be interrupted unless the rights holder adds your channel to its Content ID allowlist. YouTube: Copyright issues with live streams

YouTube’s live-stream terms put responsibility for necessary rights on the person providing the content. Before going live, verify that your rights cover live use on YouTube, including any relevant music licensing, and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting when needed. Monetization is not guaranteed by looping
YouTube monetization depends on channel eligibility and compliance with its policies, which also apply to live streams. Content that does not meet applicable policies may receive limited or no ad earnings. A looping setup alone does not establish whether a particular devotional stream or channel qualifies. - The video stops at the end. Reopen Media Source properties and check Loop. For multiple files, check Loop Playlist in the VLC Video source.
- VLC Video is missing or will not load. Install VLC and make sure its architecture matches OBS; 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. Then reopen OBS and check the source again. OBS Media Sources
- The preview has no picture or sound. Confirm the correct file is selected, inspect the preview and audio mixer, and verify the source is included in the active scene.
- YouTube does not accept the stream. Check YouTube Studio’s current stream setup and confirm the channel is enabled and verified for live streaming and has no current live-stream restriction. YouTube: Get started with live streaming
- The live feed is replaced or interrupted. Review YouTube’s copyright notice and resolve the match with the rights holder. A license may not be sufficient without Content ID allowlisting. YouTube: Copyright issues with live streams
- The broadcast ends or the replay is incomplete. OBS looping cannot restore a dropped encoder connection, and a stream longer than 12 hours may not be archived. Keep a local recording when a full copy matters. YouTube: Archive live streams
