Check the processor, graphics chip and its video memory (VRAM), RAM, Windows version, and available storage against Rockstar’s requirements; a Lenovo series name alone cannot establish compatibility.
First, identify the GTA V edition
Rockstar publishes separate PC requirements for GTA V Enhanced and GTA V Legacy. Their hardware targets differ substantially, so confirm which edition you intend to install before judging a laptop. The figures below are Rockstar’s published system requirements, not a guarantee of performance on every laptop with a similarly named part.

Rockstar says downloadable content and programming changes can alter requirements, and that some mobile chipsets and integrated graphics may be incompatible. Its listed GPU names are desktop models; the page does not certify a particular Lenovo laptop GPU or promise a frame rate. Treat the list as the official baseline, not proof that a mobile part with a similar name will behave the same. Rockstar’s GTA V PC system requirements were last updated December 10, 2025.
What Lenovo configurations tell you—and what they don’t
Lenovo’s published specifications illustrate why you need the exact configuration rather than a family name. For example, its LOQ 15IRH8 documentation lists options with an RTX 3050 Laptop GPU and 6GB GDDR6, an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU and 6GB, or an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU and 8GB. Processor, memory, operating system, display, and storage options also vary; listed configurations include Windows 11 as well as units without an operating system, and SSD offerings of 512GB or 1TB. The LOQ 15IRX9 documentation includes a configuration with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, 6GB GDDR6, and a 512GB SSD. These are examples, not universal specifications for every unit in either series. Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 specifications and Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 specifications describe configuration options.

A discrete GPU with adequate VRAM makes a laptop a more plausible Enhanced candidate than an unspecified entry-level model, but VRAM capacity alone does not establish performance. Rockstar’s requirements name desktop GPUs, and the cited Lenovo examples are not certified by Rockstar. No frame-rate or graphics-setting result is established for those Lenovo configurations.
How to check your Lenovo laptop
- Find the full configuration. Check the laptop’s model number and specification sheet, or the original order details. A series name such as LOQ is not enough because configurations differ.
- Confirm the edition. Compare against the Enhanced or Legacy column above; do not use Legacy’s lower requirements to judge Enhanced.
- Check the CPU and graphics chip. Record the exact processor and GPU model. For a laptop GPU, note that desktop model names in Rockstar’s list do not by themselves verify mobile compatibility.
- Check graphics memory and RAM. Compare VRAM to the GPU requirement and installed system memory to the edition’s minimum. For Enhanced recommended specifications, Rockstar specifies 16GB dual-channel RAM.
- Check Windows and drive space. Confirm your Windows version meets the edition’s requirement and that the installation drive has the required capacity and type, with additional free room for setup and updates.
- Compare other practical details. Once compatibility basics are covered, consider display resolution, cooling, power adapter, weight, and portability. A display’s refresh rate is not a prediction of the game’s frame rate.
Lenovo notes that specifications can vary by model and configuration; consult the Lenovo Product Specifications Reference for the exact unit, including upgrade information where available.

Allow more storage than the listed requirement
For Enhanced, Rockstar specifies a 105GB SSD; for Legacy, it lists a 125GB HDD. Do not treat those figures as a guarantee that an installation will succeed with exactly that much free space. Rockstar says an installation also needs room for extraction, supporting components such as DirectX, Visual C++, and .NET, and updates. Its installation guidance identifies insufficient disk space as a common cause of PC installation failure. Check the drive’s free capacity before installing and leave extra room. Rockstar installation-failure guidance was last updated January 6, 2025.

What you can conclude before playing
If the exact Lenovo configuration meets the selected edition’s CPU, GPU, memory, operating-system, and storage requirements, it aligns with Rockstar’s published baseline. That still does not establish a particular frame rate, visual quality, or smoothness: Rockstar does not certify the Lenovo laptop GPU examples cited here, and no model-specific GTA benchmark is established. For a closer compatibility check, compare the complete model/configuration and intended edition—not just “Lenovo” or the laptop series name.
