Can LiveReacting Stream a Pre-Recorded Playlist to a Private YouTube Live Stream?

Yes. LiveReacting supports a playlist of prerecorded videos and lets you set a YouTube livestream’s visibility to Private. Connect your channel, add a Video Playlist layer, choose and order the videos, then set the stream’s privacy to Private before you start or schedule it. This makes the broadcast private; it does not make the YouTube channel itself private.

What “private” means here

YouTube’s stream-visibility setting applies to an individual broadcast. LiveReacting lists three choices for YouTube Live: Public, Private, and Unlisted. A Private stream is not the same thing as a private channel, and it is also different from YouTube’s members-only livestream option. LiveReacting’s stream settings guide describes the privacy choices; YouTube’s live-stream settings help covers stream visibility and scheduling.

  • Private: restricted visibility. LiveReacting says only the account holder can see its private preview. If other people need to watch, check the current sharing and access controls in YouTube Studio before relying on a Private stream.
  • Unlisted: a separate visibility choice, commonly used when you want people with a link to find a stream without making it public. Confirm the current access behavior in YouTube Studio for your broadcast.
  • Public: an openly visible stream.

Do not treat Private as a way to sell access to channel members. YouTube documents members-only live streaming as a distinct feature for eligible channels; its help page says a stream enters members-only mode by transitioning while already live, rather than scheduling that mode in advance. YouTube’s members-only live-streaming guide explains that separate option.

Set up a private prerecorded playlist in LiveReacting

  1. Connect the YouTube channel. In LiveReacting, connect the channel that will host the broadcast. If you are configuring an existing YouTube stream, use the connection and stream settings available in the project.
  2. Create a project and add the playlist layer. Add a Video Playlist layer, select the prerecorded videos, and arrange them in the order you want. LiveReacting’s playlist-streaming tutorial documents automatic playback in sequence.
  3. Choose the stream visibility. In the YouTube Live settings, set privacy to Private before launching or scheduling. Check the selected setting in the final stream configuration rather than assuming the project’s other privacy settings control the broadcast.
  4. Preview or launch. LiveReacting offers a private preview; its help center says only you can see the video once that preview is live. That is useful for checking playback, but it does not establish that invited viewers can access the stream.
  5. Schedule if needed. LiveReacting says a YouTube stream can be scheduled up to two weeks ahead, with the schedule using the device’s time zone. Verify the date, time zone, privacy, and playlist before saving the schedule.

LiveReacting says a playlist advances automatically and can be modified while a continuous stream is running. For a scheduled broadcast, check the project and stream configuration before the scheduled start so the intended playlist and visibility are in place.

When using an adapter, if the device is recognized as USB 2.0, try using the other side with the USB-C port. Simply flip the capture card and reconnect it to be recognized as USB 3.0

Can invited people watch it?

Do not assume that selecting Private automatically gives a group of invitees access. LiveReacting’s preview guidance says only the account holder can see that private preview, while the cited guidance does not establish the exact procedure for granting other viewers access to a private broadcast. If the audience must include specific people, verify the current sharing and permissions workflow in YouTube Studio before sending invitations or relying on the stream.

Private playlist sources are a separate issue

Making the output livestream Private does not determine whether LiveReacting can import the source videos. LiveReacting’s July 2, 2026 guide says its YouTube URL import skips private and region-locked videos. If your intended playlist depends on those sources, do not assume they can be imported from a YouTube URL; confirm a supported way to provide the video files. The same guide describes importing up to 100 videos per batch, a figure relevant to bulk import rather than a general playlist limit. Read the import guide.

Copyright and YouTube policy checks

Before broadcasting prerecorded material, make sure you have the necessary rights to use every video, soundtrack, and other included content.
