It is not confirmed. Castr’s public billing guidance explains how to update payment details, but does not say whether Castr accepts UPI or India-issued cards for subscription payments. Check the payment methods offered in your own Castr checkout or ask Castr billing support before relying on either option.
What Castr’s billing information confirms
Castr’s Help Center directs account holders to Settings → Billing in the dashboard to update a credit card or other payment details. It does not list UPI as an option or specify which countries’ cards are accepted for subscriptions. Castr’s pricing page also does not resolve those India-specific questions. See Castr’s billing help.

That leaves two separate points unconfirmed in the public material: whether UPI is available for paying Castr, and whether an Indian-issued card will be accepted for a Castr subscription. A card working for another international service does not establish that it will work for Castr.

Castr documents payment features for creators who charge viewers. Those features describe money moving from a viewer to a creator, not a creator paying Castr for a subscription.
#1 Best Overall
- PAYMENT OPTIONS: Stickers state Accepts all major credit cards including American Express, Mastercard, Visa, and Discover for customer convenience
- SURCHARGE NOTICE: Clear 3% surcharge disclosure for all credit card transactions, helping maintain payment transparency
- PROFESSIONAL DESIGN: Clean, easy-to-read text layout with recognizable credit card logos for instant recognition
- BUSINESS DISPLAY: Ideal for retail windows, payment windows, and point-of-sale areas to inform customers about payment policies
- Creator paying Castr: This is the subscription checkout in question. Castr’s billing guidance refers to payment details in Settings → Billing but does not confirm UPI or India-issued card acceptance.
- Viewer paying a creator through a paywall: Castr’s paywall documentation describes connecting a Stripe account and accepting card payments for pay-per-view. That is an audience-payment flow.
- Viewer paying through an OTT service: Castr says its OTT offering has 30+ pre-integrated payment gateways, including PayPal and Stripe, and that it helps operators select a gateway for their location. These are options for an OTT operator’s audience checkout, not evidence that Castr accepts UPI for its own invoices. See Castr’s pages on video monetization and Castr OTT.
How to check before subscribing
- Sign in to Castr and open Settings → Billing, or proceed to the purchase checkout for your account.
- Check the payment methods actually offered for that account and billing country. Do not infer availability from Castr’s viewer-payment or OTT pages.
- If UPI or your India-issued card is not shown, or a payment is declined, contact Castr billing support. Ask specifically whether Indian-issued cards are accepted for recurring subscription charges and whether UPI is supported.
- Rely on the checkout or Castr’s direct response for your account rather than assuming a method is supported based on documentation for another payment flow.
If your underlying need is a YouTube stream that stays live
Payment eligibility for Castr and keeping a YouTube channel live are different questions. If you are looking for a cloud service that loops uploaded videos on YouTube, StreamNeo is one option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It runs from the cloud rather than requiring a computer at home to stay on. This does not answer whether Castr accepts UPI or an Indian card.
For StreamNeo, UPI works in India; card checkout is available worldwide. You can review the service at StreamNeo or start the first-day free trial.
