Possibly, if you mean Grand Theft Auto V Legacy—but the HP Envy 13 name alone is not enough to say. The answer depends on your laptop’s exact graphics chip and whether you plan to install Legacy or Enhanced. One documented Envy 13 configuration has Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, but the available specifications do not establish that it meets Rockstar’s Legacy graphics minimum or show how it performs in the game.
Why the exact Envy 13 model matters
HP sold Envy 13 laptops with substantially different graphics hardware. Its specifications include configurations with Intel UHD Graphics 620, Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 2 GB, and NVIDIA GeForce MX350 2 GB. A processor or “Envy 13” label by itself cannot settle compatibility.

For example, HP’s specification page for the Envy Laptop 13-ba1000nc lists a Core i5-1135G7, 16 GB of onboard DDR4-2666 memory, a 512 GB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, and Intel Iris Xe graphics. Those CPU and memory figures are above the figures in Rockstar’s Legacy minimum list, but the GPU comparison remains uncertain: Rockstar names discrete graphics cards, and neither source equates Iris Xe with them. HP’s ba1000nc specifications and Rockstar’s PC requirements do not provide a tested result for that exact laptop.

Rockstar’s published Legacy minimum includes a Q6600 or Phenom 9850 processor, 4 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA 9800 GT with 1 GB or AMD HD 4870 with 1 GB, with DirectX 10, 10.1, or 11 support. The page is a minimum-requirements reference, not a promise of smooth play. In particular, the cited specifications do not establish that the ba1000nc’s Iris Xe meets the named graphics minimum.

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced
Steam lists Enhanced separately and specifies an SSD requirement along with its own, newer hardware requirements. Do not use the Legacy minimum list to decide whether an Envy 13 can run Enhanced; check the current Steam listing for Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced for its exact requirements. HP lists an SSD on the ba1000nc, but that specification alone does not establish that the laptop meets Enhanced’s CPU or GPU requirements.
How to check your own laptop
- Identify the product number. Read it from the laptop label or find it in Windows system information, then use that number to locate the matching specification on HP Support. - Confirm the game edition. Decide whether you intend to install Legacy or Enhanced, and use that edition’s current requirements. A match against Legacy is not evidence of Enhanced compatibility.
- Compare the full specification. Check the processor, RAM, GPU, DirectX support, and storage against the relevant list. Give particular attention to the exact GPU: when the requirement names discrete cards and there is no published equivalence or benchmark for your integrated graphics, treat the result as uncertain.
- Check available storage and connection needs. Compare free space with the current requirement for your chosen edition. Rockstar says installation and online play require internet for activation, online play, and periodic entitlement verification.
What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
The ba1000nc’s 16 GB of RAM exceeds Legacy’s stated 4 GB minimum, and its listed processor is a newer model than the CPUs named in that minimum. Those comparisons do not resolve the graphics question. Nor do they predict a frame rate: no official or controlled benchmark for the exact Envy 13 configuration and game edition is established by the cited sources.
If you already own the laptop, only a test on your specific unit can establish how it performs. A useful report would identify the game edition, resolution, graphics settings, power mode, driver version, and measured frame rate. Do not assume another Envy 13’s result applies to yours if its GPU differs.

Rockstar warns that “Over time downloadable content and programming changes will change the system requirements for this game.” Check the applicable live requirements before installing, especially for Enhanced, whose Steam listing is separate from the Legacy requirements.
