YouTube’s published list of Super Chat exclusions does not name members-only streams, but YouTube does not expressly guarantee Super Chat availability for every members-only 24/7 broadcast. Check the settings and purchase option on the specific stream before relying on the feature.
What determines whether Super Chat is available?
Super Chat is a paid highlighted message in live chat; Super Stickers are paid animated images. Availability depends both on the channel meeting YouTube’s fan-funding requirements and on the particular stream being eligible. YouTube Help says Super Chat and Super Stickers are automatically available on eligible live streams and Premieres where live chat is turned on. That general rule supports expecting the feature on an eligible members-only stream, but it is not a specific guarantee for a continuous 24/7 broadcast.

Members-only viewing is not members-only chat
These settings control different things:

Be precise about which setup you mean: restricting viewers is not the same as restricting chat participants. Since Super Chat is a paid message in live chat, chat must be enabled and the stream must be eligible.

How to check a specific 24/7 stream
- Check channel eligibility. Confirm in YouTube Studio that the channel meets the fan-funding requirements, including applicable age and supported-location rules. YouTube has different Partner Program thresholds for fan-funding features and ad monetization; do not assume the higher ad-monetization threshold is required for Super Chat.
- Check the channel’s commerce setup. Confirm that the applicable Commerce Product Module has been accepted and Super Chat is enabled in YouTube Studio.
- Check the stream and chat. Make sure the particular broadcast is eligible, live chat is on, and the stream is not an excluded video type. Super Chat cannot be used in a stream where chat is turned off.
- Verify the viewer-side option. Open the specific live stream as a viewer and check whether Super Chat appears as a purchase option. Do this before telling members to expect it or including it in an income estimate.
Feature requirements and availability can change, so YouTube Studio is the practical place to confirm current channel eligibility. The reviewed YouTube Help guidance does not say that a 24/7 duration by itself changes Super Chat eligibility.
How much of Super Chat revenue does the creator receive?
YouTube Help states that creators receive 70% of Supers revenue confirmed by Google. The stated calculation is after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees; YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees. So 70% is not a share of the gross amount before those specified deductions. The Help page has no displayed publication year; this figure is identified as YouTube’s guidance accessed in 2026.
