Which Ryobi patio cleaner does the job you need?
Ryobi sells distinct patio-cleaning tools in the US and UK. They should not be treated as interchangeable: choose by the material and problem you need to tackle, then confirm the brush fits the exact model.

Surface dirt and weeds between pavers are different jobs
For grime on a smooth patio
The US P2904BTL is described for smooth outdoor surfaces, including tile patios and decking. Its rotating brush is intended to scrub dirt, moss and mildew, with water or cleaning solutions. That makes it the more directly relevant option if the main problem is grime on the surface rather than growth rooted in paving joints.
Ryobi also lists a wire-brush version, P2905BTL, separately. A wire brush is not a safe default for every patio: check the paving material and the tool’s instructions, and make sure the accessory is specified for that model.

For growth in paving joints
The UK RY18PCC-0 is specifically marketed for weeds, grass and moss between bricks and paving slabs. Ryobi lists a wire brush for it, as well as a gentle nylon brush associated with softer materials including sandstone, limestone and porcelain. The UK accessory names and model fit do not establish compatibility with US products.
For context, Ideal Home reviewer Lisa Fazzani described trying a cordless Ryobi patio cleaner around paving slabs, pointing and brick edging in her review published 7 July 2026. She said the cordless format suited areas without outdoor power. That is her account, not a test result for every model, patio or user.

Check what the listed price actually includes
A displayed price does not necessarily mean the same kit in each market. Ryobi US lists the P2904BTL with tool-only and battery/charger options; inspect the selected configuration before purchase. Ryobi UK’s RY18PCC-0 bare-tool listing excludes the battery and charger, although the UK page also lists battery-included variants. The £94.99 figure is for the UK bare tool, while the $99 figure is a US listing detail; they are not directly comparable prices for equivalent kits.

Otherwise, include the cost of the battery and charger when comparing the full purchase. Confirm the battery platform and kit contents on the product page for your country rather than assuming a battery from another Ryobi tool or market will fit.

Choose a brush without risking the patio
- Identify the exact model first. P2904BTL, P2905BTL and RY18PCC-0 are distinct listings; accessory fit should be confirmed for the specific tool.
- Match the brush to the task. A surface-scrubbing brush and a wire brush intended for weeds in joints are not interchangeable choices just because both are sold for patios.
- Consider the paving material. Ryobi UK associates its RAC818 nylon brush with softer surfaces such as sandstone, limestone and porcelain. Check the maker’s instructions and test an inconspicuous spot if appropriate.
- Check replacement-part listings. ACWB1 is listed for the US wire-brush model family page, while RAC814 and RAC818 appear on the UK RY18PCC-0 page. Do not infer cross-market compatibility.
What the runtime claim does—and does not—tell you
Ryobi’s UK specification for the RY18PCC-0 states 1,300 rpm and “up to 32 minutes” using a 2.0Ah battery. These are manufacturer specifications for that UK model, not a measured guarantee of working time on every patio. The source does not establish runtime for the US P2904BTL, so the UK figure should not be applied to it.

- Read the model number on the tool, listing or product photo; do not assume the article’s title identifies it.
- Decide whether you need to scrub smooth-surface dirt or remove growth from between pavers.
- Check that the tool is intended for your patio material and that the chosen brush is both compatible and suitable.
- Verify whether the selected listing includes a battery and charger, and check the current local price and kit option.
