What can viewers use to support a live stream?

Super Chat can highlight a viewer’s message in live chat, while Super Stickers let viewers surface an animated image. These are separate features from Super Thanks. Their availability depends on feature eligibility and applicable live-chat settings.

If the broadcast is archived as a long-form video and the channel and video qualify, viewers may be able to purchase Super Thanks on the replay. The possibility of an eligible replay should not be treated as a promise that a particular 24/7 stream will qualify.

Does Super Thanks work for creators in India?
India is among the locations where YouTube lists Super Thanks as available to creators. Location alone does not grant access: the channel must meet YouTube’s fan-funding requirements, and the specific replay must meet the video rules. YouTube also says each monetization feature has its own eligibility requirements.
YouTube’s current monetization overview, accessed in 2026, lists these YouTube Partner Program thresholds:

What can disqualify a channel or replay?
Channel-level requirements
YouTube says a channel must meet the minimum requirements for fan-funding features, be in a supported location, accept and follow applicable terms and policies—including the Commerce Product Module—and meet the channel criteria. A channel set as Made for Kids, or with a significant number of videos set as Made for Kids or otherwise ineligible, may not qualify.

Video-level exclusions
Even when a channel qualifies, YouTube lists these video types as ineligible for Super Thanks:
- Age-restricted, unlisted, or private videos.
- Videos set as Made for Kids.
- Videos with a copyright claim.
- Videos associated with a YouTube Giving fundraiser.
- Videos with comments turned off.
- Live streams or Premieres while they are live.
YouTube notes that archived long-form videos may be eligible afterward. For a specific stream, check whether it produced a qualifying long-form archive and whether Super Thanks is available for that video in YouTube Studio and the viewer experience.

How much does a creator receive from Super Thanks?
YouTube’s buyer guidance, accessed in 2026, says creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google after local sales tax and applicable iOS App Store fees are deducted. YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs, including credit-card fees. That is a general platform calculation, not a reliable estimate of a particular Indian creator’s net amount; taxes and billing details affect the result.
