Yes—if you mean changing the audio program that feeds the stream. Schedule the change in your playback or encoder setup so one continuous live broadcast sends one audio stream at a time. That differs from offering viewers multiple simultaneous tracks to choose from: YouTube’s Live Streaming API health guidance says an ingested stream must contain only one audio stream. The reviewed YouTube documentation does not describe a built-in day/night audio schedule or viewer-selectable multitrack feature for this setup.
What “different audio tracks” can mean
There are two different ideas behind the phrase:
- Audio changes over time: Everyone watching the live stream hears the program currently being sent—for example, one ASMR recording during the day and another overnight. This is possible if your playback or encoder workflow changes the audio source upstream while maintaining a single outgoing audio stream. That is an implementation inference from YouTube’s ingest requirements, not a built-in ASMR scheduling feature. Google for Developers’ LiveStreams documentation describes the relevant stream health status.
- Viewers select among simultaneous tracks: Different viewers choose separate audio options in the YouTube player. The reviewed Live API documentation does not establish that capability for this ingest path; its health guidance says the incoming stream must contain one audio stream.
So a channel can change what it broadcasts by time of day, but do not plan on YouTube automatically serving separate day and night tracks for viewers to switch between.

Choose how to schedule the change
Keep one continuous broadcast
For an uninterrupted 24/7 channel, use a playout or encoder workflow that switches the source feeding the one outgoing audio stream at the planned times. Keep the video and live ingest running, and test the transition before relying on it. YouTube’s documentation supports encoder-based streaming and describes a continuous 24/7 broadcast scenario in its API material, but does not prescribe a particular audio-switching tool or exact automation steps.
Use separate scheduled broadcasts
YouTube Studio supports scheduling live streams, and an encoder can connect when a scheduled event is due. Separate events let you present different programming in distinct broadcasts, but they are not the same as changing the audio within one ongoing 24/7 program; event boundaries may interrupt continuity for viewers. See YouTube’s LiveStreams API documentation for stream and broadcast resources.
#1 Best Overall
- [Natural Audio Clarity] Operated with frequency response of 50Hz-16KHz, the podcasting XLR mic delivers balanced audio range, likely to resonate with your audience. Directional cardioid dynamic microphone corded will not exaggerate your voice, while rejects unwanted off-axis noise for vocal originality and intelligibility during your PS5 gaming streaming video recording. (Tips: Keep the top of end-addressing XLR dynamic microphone AM8 facing audio source, and suggested recording range is 2 to 6 in.)
- [XLR Connection Upgrade-Ability] To use XLR connection, connect the podcast microphone to an audio interface (or mixer) using a separate XLR cable (NOT Included) . Well-connected and smooth operation improves audio flexibility to make you explore various types of music recording singing. The streaming mic isolates the pristine and accurate sound from ambient noise with greater no interference and fidelity. (RGB and function key on mic are INACTIVE when using XLR connection.)
- [USB Connection with Handy Mute] Skip the hassle of setting something up and plug the cable to play the dynamic USB microphone directly, which suits for beginner creators or daily podcast. You can quickly control the gamer mic with tap-to-mute that is independent of computer/Macbook programs to keep privacy when live streaming. LED mute reminder helps you get rid of forgetting to cancel the mute. (RGB and function key are only available for USB connection, but NOT for XLR connection)
- [Soothing Controllable RGB] RGB ring on the desktop gaming microphone for PC, with 3 modes and more than 10 light colors collection, matches your PC gears accessories for gaming synergy even in dim room. You can control the RGB key button of the dynamic microphone USB directly for game color scheme gaming or live streaming. Configured memory function, the streaming microphone RGB no need to repeated selections after turnning off and brings itself alive when power on. (Only available for USB connection)
- [More Function Keys] Computer microphone with headphones jack upgrades your rhythm game experience and gets feedback whether the real-time voice your audience hear as expected. Get the desired level via monitoring volume control when gaming recording. Smooth mic gain knob on the PC microphone gaming has some resistance to the point, easily for audio attenuation or boost presence to less post-production audio. (Only available for USB connection)
Do not confuse encoder listings with a guaranteed workflow
YouTube’s encoder directory lists products with particular capabilities. For example, it describes CamStreamer App as supporting continuous and scheduled live streams, and mentions AJA HELO Plus, optional multichannel-audio workflows, and AJA PlayToStream for scheduled prerecorded playback. Those directory descriptions do not establish that a listed device can perform the exact timed ASMR source switch you need. Check the device’s current documentation for that workflow before choosing hardware. An encoder can be software or hardware; the title’s use case does not, by itself, require a dedicated hardware encoder.
Set up and verify the live audio path
- Decide what changes. Specify the day and night audio sources, the times they should change, and whether the video should also change. The outgoing YouTube feed should still contain just one audio stream at any moment.
- Schedule the switch upstream. Configure your playback or encoder workflow to feed the chosen source at each transition. The precise controls depend on the software or hardware you select; YouTube’s cited material does not provide a universal schedule interface for this.
- Use settings appropriate to your audio format and ingest protocol. YouTube Help lists 44.1 kHz for stereo audio and 48 kHz for 5.1 surround sound, with recommended audio bitrates of 128 Kbps for stereo or 384 Kbps for 5.1. These are YouTube’s listed recommendations, not a substitute for checking the current guidance for your chosen encoder and protocol. YouTube Help’s encoder settings guidance also recommends testing with audio and movement similar to the intended stream.
- Test every transition. Listen before and after each scheduled change, checking for silence, overlapping sources, abrupt level differences, unintended audio, or a stream interruption. Test at the times and under the conditions you expect to use, rather than assuming that a successful initial launch proves the schedule will work.
- Monitor stream health while live. Watch the encoder and YouTube’s stream-health indicators, especially around source changes. If using HLS, treat it as an ingestion-protocol choice with its own supported codecs, latency, and settings—not as a way to provide selectable audio tracks. See YouTube’s encoder settings and protocol guidance.
Common problems and fixes
- YouTube flags multiple audio streams: The outgoing ingest may contain more than one audio stream. Configure the source or encoder to send a single audio stream and switch which program feeds it, rather than sending simultaneous alternatives. The API health message for
multipleAudioStreamsidentifies this condition. Google for Developers: LiveStreams. - The change creates silence or a loud jump: Check the transition behavior and relative levels in the upstream playout or encoder. Test the exact source pair and adjust the handoff before the next live change.
- The live event ends or viewers encounter a boundary: Confirm whether you configured a source change inside one ongoing ingest or started a separate scheduled broadcast. Separate events have event boundaries; they are not equivalent to an in-stream audio change.
- The stream becomes unstable after a protocol or settings change: Recheck the encoder’s settings against YouTube’s current recommendations for the selected protocol, then run a representative test and monitor stream health. HLS settings should not be assumed to match another ingest protocol.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps an uploaded-video YouTube stream running from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera, so it is an option for prerecorded ASMR programming, not a substitute for an encoder-side workflow if you need a custom timed audio-source switch. Nothing has to stay on at home; it streams uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. Learn more at StreamNeo, then start your free day.
