En una cámara compatible con Vídeo seguro de HomeKit, selecciona un modo de transmisión sin grabación si el modelo lo ofrece. Las opciones y sus nombres varían según el fabricante; transmitir en directo no significa necesariamente que no se grabe.

Configura por separado qué ocurre cuando las personas del hogar están «En casa» y cuando están «Fuera». La app puede cambiar entre esos modos según la ubicación de los dispositivos de quienes forman parte del hogar.

Revisa las notificaciones y la detección de actividad. Casa puede avisarte cuando la cámara detecta actividad, cambia de estado o queda sin conexión.

Permisos: quién puede ver y quién puede administrar
El propietario del hogar puede decidir qué personas invitadas acceden a las transmisiones, a las grabaciones y al control remoto, así como quién puede gestionar las cámaras. Comprueba los permisos individualmente: poder ver una cámara no debería implicar automáticamente poder cambiar su configuración. Apple explica cómo gestionar accesorios y compartir el control del hogar.
Qué protección ofrece Vídeo seguro de HomeKit y qué no garantiza
Apple afirma que los vídeos de Vídeo seguro de HomeKit están cifrados de extremo a extremo y que la central de accesorios analiza el vídeo de forma privada. También indica que se puede revisar en Casa la actividad de los últimos diez días. Según Apple, esos vídeos no ocupan espacio de almacenamiento en iCloud. Estas afirmaciones se refieren a Vídeo seguro de HomeKit, no a cualquier cámara, aplicación del fabricante, cuenta o red. El cifrado no determina si una cámara está transmitiendo o grabando ni quién tiene permiso para acceder. La privacidad depende también del modo que configures y de los permisos que concedas; una cámara que graba cuando la casa está vacía tiene un comportamiento distinto de otra configurada para detener la grabación.
