Will Modern Warfare 4 be on Xbox Game Pass?
No—not at launch. The official Call of Duty preorder-incentives page states that “Modern Warfare 4 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch.” It does not announce when, or whether, the game could join Game Pass later.

Qualifying Microsoft Store purchase: promotional Xbox gift card
The official incentives page describes a promotional digital Xbox gift card for qualifying Microsoft Store purchases. Its amount varies by region, and the offer is limited to participating regions and available supply. The stated promotion window is May 28 through October 22, 2026; confirm the current local terms, including whether the offer is still available.
This is not a universal reward for every retailer or preorder route. The offer terms describe account eligibility tied to owning and having played a Call of Duty title released in 2019 or later on the same platform account. Free-to-play and mobile titles do not count under those terms. For digital Xbox Store preorders, the page says eligible buyers should receive an Xbox App notification containing a redemption code within 35 days of launch.

Not to own the game, but the Xbox Store listing says console online multiplayer requires a separately sold subscription and lists Game Pass Core or Ultimate. That requirement is distinct from whether Modern Warfare 4 itself is included in the Game Pass catalog. Check the current Xbox Store listing for the platform-specific requirement.
