The event is part of Season 9, Vampires vs Werewolves, which Activision says launches October 14, 2026, at 5 PM PT. That is the season launch time; Activision does not give Fang Wars a separate start or end date.
What is Fang Wars?
Fang Wars is the faction event at the center of Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9. Players choose a side, work with that faction to complete missions, and try to dominate the opposing faction. Activision describes Vampires vs Werewolves as the game’s first community-voted season: players selected the Halloween theme and Battle Pass designs through community voting.

The announcement does not explain how faction scoring works, whether progress depends on individual matches, or how the teams are balanced. It also does not specify eligibility rules or regional availability. Activision’s October 7, 2026 announcement confirms the event concept and rewards, but not those mechanics.

The official announcement identifies one faction-specific weapon blueprint for each side. It does not describe a gameplay advantage for either faction, so the practical distinction confirmed there is the blueprint and team identity.

Milestone rewards for both factions
Activision says other milestone rewards are available to both factions. The announcement names Purifier — Deadly Nightshade Operator Skill Skin, Type 19 — Petal Pattern Assault Rifle Blueprint, and Swagger Strongbox. It also says both sides earn victory calling cards: Calling Card — Vampire Victory and Calling Card — Werewolves Victory. The winning faction receives a gold version of its team’s card.
When does Season 9 launch?
Activision’s announcement, published October 7, 2026, gives the Season 9 launch as October 14, 2026, at 5 PM PT. It does not provide a separate Fang Wars schedule or event end date, so the season launch time should not be treated as a confirmed event start time.

What else is included in the Halloween season?
Fang Wars is one part of Season 9. Other content named by Activision includes the Leader’s Kill Confirmed multiplayer mode, returning limited-time modes, Attack of the Undead on Haunted Hacienda and Haunted Standoff, a Grav Assault Rifle, a Battle Pass, seasonal events, and store promotions. Those are season features, not additional Fang Wars rules or rewards.
