How Lowtown is laid out
Call of Duty’s official guide describes Lowtown as a dockside neighborhood with a boat house, fishing shed, cobbler, gallery, market stalls, and a canal. It combines indoor and outdoor spaces, with substantial water traversal. The canal forms a horseshoe around the map and separates the center from the outer edges. Docks
The Docks are a spawn area with hard cover to the north. Watch the west side: opponents may approach across the canal or from the B Domination area.

Boat House
Domination A is inside the Boat House. Its elevated balcony and windows overlook the center, making the building a useful position to hold—but a conspicuous one. The adjacent water provides another way in, though the approach is challenging.

Well
The Well is the central hub, ringed by the Cobbler, Ticketing, Gallery, and Hotel. Several objectives sit nearby, and neighboring buildings create crossfire. Use corners rather than lingering in the open; the official guide suggests a Trophy System here to counter incoming grenades.
Fountain
Fountain is an exposed, long route beside the canal, with sightlines toward the Boat House and Grocer/Market. If you need to cross it, move quickly and stay low rather than treating it as a safe lane.

Market
Market is one of the main spawn areas. Produce boxes and fruit stands offer cover, but keep an eye on the Pizzeria flank.
Which routes should you use?
The two bridges connecting the Docks and Market to the center are important crossing points. Holding them can limit quick enemy rotations, but bridge control also exposes your position to flanks. Choose the crossing based on the immediate objective and enemy attention, not simply because it is the shortest route.

- Bridge: A direct way between the outer areas and center. Check both approaches before crossing or holding it.
- Dry Dock: The official guide’s suggested alternate route. From here, you can reach the Canal, Hotel, Well, and Market, making it useful when a bridge is watched.
- Water: Boat-hopping with Omnimovement is another way to cross. The Boat House approach through water is possible but challenging.
- Indoor approaches: Use buildings to avoid the long exposure of Fountain, while remembering that the Well and nearby structures can create crossfire.
The Hotel’s windows and walls provide views over much of the map, so account for it when moving between objectives. A route that avoids one angle may lead into another.

Lowtown’s central objectives attract attention from several surrounding positions. Before entering the Well, check nearby buildings and use corners for cover. The guide specifically recommends a Trophy System there against grenades. On the outer routes, avoid predictable movement across exposed sightlines: time a crossing, use available cover, and watch for opponents rotating behind you.

Equipment can also shape movement through indoor and outdoor routes. The official map guide names Neurogas Field Upgrade and Molotov as examples. These are suggestions from the guide, not independently tested rankings or guarantees of effectiveness.

Loadout starting points
The official map guide presents three role-based builds. They are templates for different play styles, not evidence of one universally best Lowtown loadout.

Use the SMG-oriented templates if you want an aggressive, mobile role around objectives. The assault-rifle-and-shotgun combination is the guide’s option for players who want tools for both longer and closer fights. The source does not establish current weapon rankings or prove that any build is optimal across modes or balance updates.
A simple plan for your first match
- Identify whether your route to the next objective crosses a bridge, Fountain, or a watched building angle.
- Use Dry Dock or water when the direct crossing is under pressure, and check the destination for a waiting flank.
- Approach the Well using corners and cover; account for nearby buildings and incoming grenades.
- Choose one of the guide’s loadouts to match your intended role and engagement distance, then adjust to the match rather than assuming it is a fixed best build.
