The company’s own portfolio description names global products such as TikTok, CapCut, TikTok Shop, Lark, Pico and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, alongside China-market services including Toutiao, Douyin, Fanqie, Xigua, Feishu and Douyin E-commerce. The 12 names in this article are an editorial selection from those first-party examples; ByteDance does not publish a page in the supplied material certifying that these are an official, exhaustive “top 12” roster.
That distinction matters because “owned by ByteDance” can describe a consumer brand, a service operated by a ByteDance-related company, or a legal entity in the corporate structure. Availability, branding and operating arrangements also vary by country. In the United States, for example, a January 23, 2026 announcement describes a TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC created under U.S. regulatory requirements and says ByteDance retains 19.9% of that venture. That is a jurisdiction-specific arrangement, not a statement that every ByteDance product has the same ownership structure worldwide.

How to read this list
Use the list as a portfolio map rather than a ranking. The entries cover video, content discovery, collaboration, commerce, gaming and immersive technology. Several names are global products; others are primarily associated with mainland China and may use different local brands, accounts or distribution rules. A product’s presence on ByteDance’s corporate site does not by itself establish that it is available in every country or that its local operating company is identical everywhere.
The table separates product category and market because those are the two quickest ways to avoid a common mistake: treating every ByteDance name as another version of TikTok.

Global consumer and creator products
1. TikTok
TikTok is ByteDance’s best-known global consumer brand and sits in the video and content-discovery category. It should not be used as shorthand for the entire company: ByteDance’s own portfolio description lists products for workplace collaboration, shopping, gaming and immersive technology as well.
Ownership language needs a current U.S. qualification. The TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC announcement dated January 23, 2026 says the joint venture was established under U.S. regulatory requirements, operates U.S. safeguards and includes ByteDance as a 19.9% holder. The announcement’s exact wording is: “ByteDance retains 19.9% of the Joint Venture.” That percentage applies to the announced U.S. venture, not automatically to TikTok operations in every other jurisdiction.
2. CapCut
CapCut is ByteDance’s video-creation product, listed with the company’s global offerings. Its role in the portfolio is complementary to a video-distribution service: the category is editing and creation rather than content discovery itself. Country availability and feature sets can change, so a reader should check the local app store or service page before assuming that a particular tool or account system is offered in a given market.
Recommended Free Tools
The January 2026 U.S. announcement says the safeguards associated with the TikTok USDS arrangement also cover CapCut, Lemon8 and other U.S. apps and websites. That statement describes the U.S. operating framework; it does not convert every CapCut installation worldwide into a U.S. joint-venture product.

3. TikTok Shop
TikTok Shop is the commerce entry in ByteDance’s global product examples. It connects shopping activity with the TikTok brand, but commerce availability is especially market-dependent: seller rules, checkout arrangements, product categories and launch status can differ by country. It is therefore more accurate to call it a TikTok-associated commerce service than to claim that a single identical Shop product operates everywhere.
4. Lark
Lark shows that ByteDance’s portfolio extends beyond entertainment. It is identified as a global collaboration and productivity product, aimed at workplace communication and coordinated work rather than public short-form video. Lark is a product brand, not the same thing as the legal entity Lark Technologies Ltd. that appears in ByteDance’s corporate-structure disclosure. Keeping those terms separate prevents a product list from being mistaken for a list of subsidiaries.
5. Pico
Pico is ByteDance’s immersive-technology brand. The portfolio description places it among global products, while the available corporate disclosure separately lists Pico Immersive Limited as a related entity. The brand and the entity are connected in the corporate structure, but they are not interchangeable labels: one is how users encounter the product family, and the other is a legal organization named in the disclosure.

6. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is the gaming entry named among ByteDance’s global offerings. Its inclusion illustrates the breadth of the portfolio: a game title serves a different audience and use case from a social-video app, editing tool or collaboration suite. The portfolio evidence establishes ByteDance’s listing of the title, but it does not provide a current player-count figure, launch date or country-by-country publishing arrangement, so none is asserted here.
China-market products
7. Toutiao
Toutiao is identified as a China-market content-discovery and news service. It belongs to the information side of ByteDance’s business rather than the global TikTok-branded side. Readers outside China should not assume that a local service has the same language, feed, account portability or regulatory environment as a global product simply because both appear in ByteDance’s portfolio.
8. Douyin
Douyin is ByteDance’s China-market short-video brand. It occupies a similar broad category to TikTok—short-form video and discovery—but the names should be treated as separate market products, not as interchangeable app labels. App availability, policies and commerce integrations depend on the jurisdiction, and a Douyin account or feature should not be presumed to transfer to TikTok.
9. Fanqie
Fanqie is one of the China-market digital-content services named in ByteDance’s portfolio description. The supplied corporate material does not define a narrower product specification, audience size or current international availability, so the safest description is the one supported by the portfolio listing: a ByteDance-associated China-market content brand rather than a global substitute for TikTok.

10. Xigua
Xigua is listed as a China-market video and content service. Its presence alongside Douyin and Toutiao demonstrates that ByteDance operates multiple content products for different formats and audiences. The portfolio description does not establish a current global rollout, pricing model or exact relationship between Xigua features and those of other ByteDance video services; those points should not be assumed from the name alone.
11. Feishu
Feishu is the China-market collaboration and productivity brand in this selection. It occupies the same broad business-software category as Lark, but the two names reflect different market branding. This is a useful example of why a list of “brands owned by ByteDance” should identify geography: one corporate portfolio can contain local versions or brands without making them one globally uniform service.
12. Douyin E-commerce
Douyin E-commerce is the China-market commerce offering tied to the Douyin ecosystem. It belongs in a separate line from Douyin because a video platform and its commerce operation answer different user needs, even when they share a brand. The supplied evidence confirms the name as a ByteDance portfolio offering but does not establish one worldwide checkout system or a universal seller program.
Brands versus ByteDance legal entities
ByteDance’s corporate-structure disclosure lists ByteDance Ltd. and related entities including Douyin Group, Lark Technologies Ltd., Pico Immersive Limited and TikTok Ltd. It also names Nuverse among the related organizations. These entries are legal or organizational entities, whereas TikTok, CapCut, Lark and the other names above are products or brands encountered by users. A company may operate a brand through one or more entities, and those entities can differ by jurisdiction.

For that reason, “owned” is useful shorthand in a consumer article but not a complete legal description. A precise statement should identify whether it is talking about the ByteDance portfolio, a named subsidiary, a local operating company or a U.S.-specific arrangement.
What changed for TikTok in the United States?
The January 23, 2026 TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC announcement is the relevant qualification for current U.S. ownership language. It says the venture was formed under U.S. regulatory requirements, runs U.S. safeguards and includes a 19.9% retained ByteDance stake. It also says those safeguards cover CapCut, Lemon8 and other U.S. apps and websites.
Do not generalize that announcement into a claim that ByteDance owns exactly 19.9% of TikTok worldwide, or that the same structure applies to Douyin, Feishu, Pico or the China-market services. The announcement addresses the U.S. venture; the broader portfolio remains geographically differentiated.
How to verify a ByteDance ownership claim
- Identify the item type. Decide whether the name is a consumer product, a brand family, a game title or a legal entity.
- Check ByteDance’s current portfolio description. Confirm that the product is still named and note whether the company labels it global or China-market.
- Check the corporate-structure disclosure. Use it for entity names such as TikTok Ltd., Lark Technologies Ltd. or Pico Immersive Limited, but do not treat an entity name as proof that every similarly named product has identical ownership.
- Apply a country qualifier. Verify local availability, branding and operating arrangements before calling a service current in a particular market.
- Separate general ownership from regulatory exceptions. For U.S. TikTok claims, use the January 23, 2026 joint-venture announcement and its 19.9% figure rather than a blanket global statement.
Why there is no definitive official “12”
ByteDance describes its suite as containing “more than a dozen” products and services. That wording establishes a portfolio larger than 12, while the available product description does not provide an itemized, dated list that certifies the exact twelve names implied by the headline. The 12 products here therefore serve as a clearly labeled selection covering the major categories and geographies named by the company.
Other ByteDance-related names may be relevant in a different edition of the list, especially if the editorial goal is to focus on legal entities, China-only services, games or hardware. The right inclusion test is first-party confirmation of the name, its product or entity status, and the market in which the claim is being made.
