If a Browshot capture shows only the visible browser area, request size=page; Browshot captures the screen by default. If the full-page image is still incomplete, check the desktop viewport settings, give page scripts time to run, try scrolling before capture, and use cache=0 to avoid a stale result.
Choose between a viewport screenshot and a full-page screenshot
These are different capture extents, not different image-quality settings. Browshot’s default is screen, which captures the visible browser screen. To capture the page rather than just that visible area, set size=page.

Set the desktop viewport dimensions
If the screenshot is the right height or extent but the browser area is too wide or narrow, set the desktop browser-window dimensions with screen_width and screen_height. The API reference lists a width range of 1–5000 pixels and a height range of 1–10000 pixels. It also says full-page screenshots can be up to 15,000 pixels high.

These settings describe a desktop browser window; they are not a substitute for selecting a full-page capture. Confirm that the selected Browshot instance is a desktop browser when you use them. Browshot also describes desktop and mobile virtual devices and configurable screen resolutions on its features page, so check the browser context as well as the dimensions.
Fix a full-page image that misses content
A full-page request can still miss elements that were not ready when the capture ran. Browshot documents a post-load delay for JavaScript and demonstrates scrolling down before capture, followed by a delay and size=page. These are diagnostic techniques, not a guarantee: sites may load content only after a particular scroll position, use nested scrolling areas, or apply their own timing behavior.

size=page. - Add a suitable post-load delay if scripts or images need more time to appear.
- If content is loaded on scroll, try a scroll-down script before the capture and allow another delay afterward.
- Inspect the result and adjust the timing or scrolling approach for the target page.
Browshot’s documented script workflow and example are at Execute JavaScript before the screenshot. The API documentation versions reflected in the available references do not agree on peripheral delay limits, so consult the live API reference for the current accepted value rather than relying on a fixed maximum.

Request a fresh screenshot when settings change
Browshot can reuse a previous screenshot of the same URL and instance during its cache interval. If you changed capture size, dimensions, delay, or script and the output still looks unchanged, set cache=0 to request a new capture. This helps distinguish a stale cached result from a setting that has not taken effect.
