BrowserCat publishes its prices in US dollars, not Indian rupees: the free Hobby plan includes 1,000 credits a month, while Business starts at $50 per month. The amount you spend depends on whether you use its request-based Utility API or time-based Websocket API. BrowserCat’s published pages do not establish an INR price, India-specific taxes or fees, or India-hosted browser sessions, so an exact local total cannot be confirmed from the listed prices alone.

BrowserCat does not publish a separate flat screenshot price. Credits are charged according to the API path and the successful activity performed:
#1 Best Overall
- CRISP CLARITY: This 23.8″ Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail
- INCREDIBLE CONTRAST: The VA panel produces brighter whites and deeper blacks. You get true-to-life images and more gradients with 16.7 million colors
- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
- WORK SEAMLESSLY: This sleek monitor is virtually bezel-free on three sides, so the screen looks even bigger for the viewer. This minimalistic design also allows for seamless multi-monitor setups that enhance your workflow and boost productivity
- A BETTER READING EXPERIENCE: For busy office workers, EasyRead mode provides a more paper-like experience for when viewing lengthy documents
- Utility API: one credit for each successful API request. BrowserCat’s FAQ says, “For every 1 successful API request, you’re billed exactly 1 credit.” BrowserCat FAQ
- Websocket API: one credit for each 30 seconds of active session, rounded up. A session lasting longer than a 30-second interval uses the next whole interval. BrowserCat states, “Every 30 seconds of activity is worth 1 credit.”
Consequently, a screenshot workflow using the Utility API is metered by successful requests, whereas a workflow using a Websocket browser session is metered by active session duration. To estimate usage, count successful Utility API calls or total Websocket session time in 30-second increments; do not assume every screenshot costs one credit regardless of method.
What the listed prices mean for an India-based customer
The official prices above are in USD. The official materials cited here do not confirm INR billing, the applicable Indian tax treatment, foreign-exchange or card fees, or whether a particular India-based account can purchase a credit pack. No fixed rupee conversion is reliable without a dated exchange rate and confirmation of checkout charges. Review the amount and currency at checkout, and ask BrowserCat about taxes, payment eligibility and any payment-provider fees before budgeting.

BrowserCat documents a Playwright workflow that navigates to a page and captures a screenshot, with a cloud browser endpoint replacing a local browser launch. It also describes compatibility with Playwright, Puppeteer and CDP clients. Its configuration documentation says sessions currently run near the request and that explicit region routing is on its roadmap; this does not establish that a session runs in India or provide an India latency guarantee. 1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsOverages, billing timing and spending limits
BrowserCat says the plan’s base fee is charged at the start of the month and remaining overages are billed at month end. It may charge overages earlier when they exceed the plan’s base fee. Its published defaults set a soft limit equal to the monthly subscription amount and a hard limit at twice that amount; for free plans, the defaults are $10 and $20. After the soft limit, BrowserCat says it asks for approval to raise the limit. It rejects requests at the hard limit unless approval is given. Pricing and billing details

- Clear visuals. Fluid motion: A 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT deliver smooth, tear‑free motion across work, gaming, and streaming for clearer, more fluid viewing.
- Eye comfort: TÜV Rheinland 3‑star* certification reduces harmful blue light while preserving stunning color quality without compromise. *TÜV Rheinland 3-star eye comfort certification.
- Wide viewing angle: Get consistent views across a wide 178° /178° viewing angle.
- In-Plane Switching (IPS): See excellent color accuracy and consistency across wide viewing angles with In-plane Switching (IPS) technology.
- Ultra-thin bezels: Maximize your viewing experience with thin bezels.
These limits matter operationally: reaching a hard limit without approval can stop further requests. Review the account’s actual limit settings and usage before relying on a service for a time-sensitive capture workload.
How to estimate your monthly BrowserCat cost
- Choose the API path. Identify whether your integration will use Utility API requests or Websocket sessions; their credit meters differ.
- Forecast monthly credits. For Utility API, count successful requests. For Websocket API, add active session durations and round each session up to 30-second increments.
- Compare the forecast with the plan allowance. Hobby lists 1,000 credits per month. Business has a selectable included monthly credit quantity, so verify the allowance selected for your plan.
- Apply the listed overage rate. The published extra-credit rates are $0.0025 for Hobby and $0.00175 for Business. Include the base fee and any applicable overage when estimating a month.
- Check spending controls and local charges. Verify soft/hard limits in the account and confirm currency, taxes and payment-provider fees at checkout; the published pricing does not establish an India-local total.
BrowserCat’s own general guidance is to choose a plan just above average costs when usage is consistent, and just below average usage when monthly demand varies considerably. That is a planning suggestion, not a guarantee that a particular plan is cheapest for your workload.

ScreenshotNeo: an alternative to try first
If your requirement is specifically a website screenshot API, ScreenshotNeo offers a direct screenshot endpoint rather than requiring you to estimate BrowserCat browser-session credits. Its published plans are in USD: 1,000 screenshots per month free with no card, then $5 for 3,000 on Starter. Only clean shots are billed; bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads and cache hits cost nothing, with response headers indicating the page verdict and billing status.
