For mobile players, the practical result is simple: the new content will not be available on November 2 unless a later announcement changes the schedule. Watch for a separate mobile date rather than assuming the PC launch will arrive through an automatic update.
What Primal Dread adds
Primal Dread is a substantial expansion rather than a small cosmetic pack. The announced additions include a new map, new playable characters, weapons, items, pets, music tracks, achievements and mechanics. How the new Evolution stat works
Primal Dread introduces a stat called Evolution. Release coverage describes it as a two-direction system that lets a run develop toward either Mecha or Mutation.
Mecha
The Mecha direction reinforces weapons and adds stats. Its transformation theme produces mecha dinosaurs, tying the stronger combat bonuses to a mechanical version of the DLC’s prehistoric enemies.

Mutation
