How small is the Essenza Mini?
Breville’s US listing gives dimensions of 3.3 × 13 × 8 inches, ordered width × depth × height. That is a narrow footprint across the counter, but the 13-inch depth means buyers should check the space from the counter edge to the wall, including room to access the machine. These are US-listed measurements; Breville Australia lists its own dimensions as 8.4 × 32 × 20.5 cm, with a different ordering and rounding. Use the measurements for the market and exact version you intend to buy.
The AU listing also specifies a removable 0.6 L water tank and a used-capsule container holding five to six capsules. Those capacities suggest more frequent refilling and emptying than a larger-capacity setup may require, but the sources do not provide a direct comparison with other machines.

What does it make, and which capsules does it use?
The BEC220 uses Nespresso Original capsules, not the Vertuo system. Nespresso Australia describes it brewing Espresso and Lungo from Original capsules. That limits your choice to capsules compatible with the Original platform, so check availability and the recurring capsule cost in your market before committing. Capsule purchases are an ongoing ownership expense, not part of the one-time machine price.

Confirm the exact seller’s included items rather than assuming the frother comes with every BEC220.

Breville Australia lists a 25-second heat-up time, and Nespresso Australia lists automatic power-off after nine minutes. These are regional product-page specifications, not independent measurements of real-world operation. The Australian listing also cites 19-bar pump pressure. That figure describes a listed component specification; on its own, it does not prove better coffee or establish how the machine compares with another model.
