No. Breville identifies a flatbed base plate, and CHOICE describes the model as a flatbed microwave. That confirms the absence of a turntable, but does not by itself show that food heats more evenly or establish a measured usable-area advantage.

The documented features include a mirror glass window, LED display, control panel and dial, push-button door release, microwave cooking and defrost functions, auto-cook selections, and a child lock. These are listed functions, not evidence that they outperform those of another microwave.
How much clearance does it need?
Breville’s manual calls for at least 20 cm of open space on each side and 30 cm above the unit. Keep the intake and outlet vents unobstructed. The manual says not to place the microwave in a cabinet or install it over a cooktop or another heat-producing appliance.

Measure the counter space and the required open area around it before buying. The exterior dimensions alone do not represent the space needed for installation.
What should you know about safe use and cleaning?
- Put food and liquids in a suitable microwave-proof container; do not place them directly on the flatbed base.
- Do not heat sealed containers. Breville warns: “Liquids and other foods must not be heated in sealed containers since they are liable to explode.”
- Monitor food when heating it in microwave-safe or paper containers, because the manual warns of ignition risk.
- Do not operate the microwave if its door or seals are damaged. Breville says service that involves removing the cover should be carried out by a Breville Service Centre.
- After use, wipe the cavity with a soft damp cloth and remove food splatter. The manual warns that food residue, grease or fat left inside can cause overheating and may lead to smoke or fire.
Is the Breville LMO530BLK discontinued, and what does it cost?
CHOICE labels the LMO530BLK discontinued and displays a price of $279. That listing is not a verified current offer, and current stock has not been established. The model’s availability and transaction price should therefore be checked with the seller rather than inferred from the CHOICE page.
