Water collection and continuous drainage
The 3.5 L tank is substantially smaller than the listed 20 L/day extraction capacity. If the unit removes moisture quickly, the tank can require emptying more than once a day; the actual interval depends on conditions and use. Continuous drainage can reduce manual emptying, and Breville says a 1 m drain hose is included.
Continuous drainage is practical only if you can place the unit near a suitable drain and route the hose so water can flow by gravity. Follow the supplied instructions for placement and hose setup. The LAD308 instruction manual covers setup, clearances, safety and care.

App, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and voice control
Breville describes app-based humidity control. The manual explains that Wi-Fi supports remote connectivity and control, while Bluetooth control works within range. Voice operation requires linking a Breville Home Connect account with Alexa or Google Home/Assistant. The manual says timers are not supported through the described voice integrations. Noise, owner feedback and limits of the evidence
Betta lists a noise rating below 48 dB(A), but there is no independent measurement here. ProductReview.com.au displayed five reviews and a 3.8 score when accessed in 2026. One owner described personal humidity and water-collection results at home; that account is anecdotal, not a laboratory result. Five self-selected reviews are too few to establish typical effectiveness, noise, reliability or how easy the unit is to move. If sound matters to you, check the seller’s return terms or assess it in the room where you plan to use it.
The manual describes the appliance as intended for household use, not commercial or industrial use. Follow its instructions for safe operation, cleaning and storage rather than improvising service procedures.
