What the Barista Touch Impress is—and who it suits
The BES881 is a guided espresso machine with an integrated grinder and touchscreen. It is aimed at home users who want help through the preparation process rather than a fully manual setup. These are manufacturer-described features, not independently verified performance results. The system may make puck preparation more approachable, but it does not remove the need to choose beans, adjust the grind and find a recipe that suits your taste.

The integrated grinder is listed with Baratza European precision burrs and 30 grind settings. Breville lists both automatic and manual dosing, giving users a choice between a more guided workflow and more direct involvement. TechRadar’s 2025 espresso-machine review says its reviewer tested the Barista Touch Impress for two months and gives a favorable assessment of usability and espresso. That is useful independent context, but it is one publication’s review experience—not a controlled comparison or a guarantee that every bean, grind setting and recipe will produce the same result. Auto MilQ and alternative milks
Breville lists Auto MilQ hands-free milk texturing, with settings for dairy, almond, oat and soy milk. TechRadar’s reviewer found that the feature worked best with dairy milk during the reported test. That observation should not be generalized to every brand or recipe: milk formulations and user preferences vary, and the review extract does not establish a universal result for alternative milks.
