That is above the project’s approximately 70-ton daily base case and take-or-pay minimum, but commissioning is not complete and the result does not yet establish sustained output or recurring revenue.
What BrenX reported at the Tempo site
The reported figure is a commissioning result: about 85 tons of steam on an operating day. BrenX described commissioning as nearing completion, while also stating that sustained performance still had to be confirmed. “Operating day” refers to a day on which the system is running; it is not a claim about an uninterrupted calendar-day average.

The project’s financial model used approximately 70 tons per operating day as its base case. That same level is the minimum volume covered by the commercial take-or-pay arrangement, equivalent to roughly 19,000 tons of steam per year in the model.
| Measure | Published figure | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Commissioning production | Approximately 85 tons per operating day | Preliminary output reported October 15, 2026 |
| Base case and take-or-pay minimum | Approximately 70 tons per operating day | Modeled and contracted minimum volume |
| Annual equivalent in the model | Approximately 19,000 tons | Annualized volume associated with the 70-ton daily level |
| Difference from the baseline | Approximately 15 tons per operating day | About 21% above the rounded 70-ton figure by arithmetic; BrenX did not report this percentage |
The 85-ton result therefore exceeds the modeled minimum by about 15 tons per operating day. The 21% comparison is an arithmetic calculation using the rounded figures, not a company-reported performance statistic.

Can it cover Tempo’s steam demand?
Tempo’s facility consumes approximately 90–100 tons of steam per operating day. BrenX says it is targeting full replacement of that demand with the thermal-storage system.
On a simple comparison of the published rounded numbers, 85 tons would be about 5–15 tons below the stated demand range. That comparison does not predict the system’s final operating level, because commissioning and validation were still under way when the result was announced. It does show why the current milestone is encouraging without yet demonstrating complete fuel replacement.

What the bGen installation is
The Tempo project is a commercial installation in Israel using bGen™ power-to-heat thermal storage. The system is charged with grid electricity and on-site solar photovoltaic power, then supplies process steam to Tempo Beverages. Its purpose is to replace steam that would otherwise be produced by fossil-fuel boilers.

| Thermal-storage capacity | 32 MWh |
| Project metric | 5.6 MW |
| Steam-delivery capability | Up to 14 tons per hour, according to BrenX’s project page |
| Expected emissions benefit | Approximately 6,200 tons of CO₂ avoided annually |
The approximately 6,200-ton CO₂ figure is an expected project value, not a measured emissions result from the October commissioning update. Actual avoidance will depend on operating duration, the electricity mix used for charging, solar generation and the amount of fossil boiler use displaced.

Why commissioning status changes the interpretation
The system was already supplying steam
BrenX’s June 1, 2026 update said the bGen system had connected to Tempo’s production facility and begun supplying steam. The company expected deliveries to increase during a planned ramp-up and validation process. The later 85-ton figure is a higher point in that commissioning progression, rather than a declaration that the plant had reached a proven steady state.
The result is not revenue guidance
BrenX explicitly said the preliminary commissioning results do not constitute revenue guidance. It also said sustained operating performance had not yet been confirmed. A single operating-day result can demonstrate that the equipment reached a particular output under commissioning conditions, but it cannot establish how reliably that output will be maintained across production schedules, maintenance periods and changing energy inputs.

What the 70-ton take-or-pay level means financially
A take-or-pay minimum generally requires the customer to pay for an agreed minimum volume even if it takes less, subject to the contract’s terms. Here, the approximately 70-ton daily level is both the financial model’s base case and the minimum contracted volume, with an annual model equivalent of approximately 19,000 tons.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIf output above that level is sustained and Tempo purchases the additional steam, volumes above the minimum could create upside relative to the original model. That is a forward-looking commercial possibility, not booked revenue and not a revised forecast. The October announcement provides no evidence that the higher level has already produced recurring sales.

What must be established next
- Completion of commissioning: BrenX needs to confirm that the ramp-up and validation phase has ended.
- Sustained production: The company must show repeatable output over an operating period, rather than a single preliminary result.
- Demand coverage: Performance must be measured against Tempo’s approximately 90–100-ton daily requirement if full boiler replacement is the goal.
- Commercial realization: Any steam sold above the 70-ton take-or-pay minimum would need to appear in future operating and financial disclosures before it can be treated as recurring revenue.
- Emissions verification: The expected annual CO₂ reduction would need operational data to be confirmed in practice.
Bottom line
About 85 tons of steam per operating day is a meaningful commissioning milestone for BrenX’s 32 MWh Tempo system because it is above the approximately 70-ton modeled and contracted minimum. It remains below Tempo’s stated 90–100-ton daily demand on the published figures, and BrenX has not yet confirmed sustained performance, full demand replacement or revenue from the higher output. The next decisive evidence will be validated operation over time and commercial reporting tied to that performance.
