Inside System has announced a worldwide PS5 release for October 24, 2026. PlayStation Store wishlisting is open, but the announcement does not establish a physical PS5 edition, retail box, or pricing. Unless Inside System or Sony publishes further details, the confirmed PS5 route is the digital PlayStation Store listing.

Although both games draw on Inside System’s Syega Crystal setting and the wider Legend of Dark Witch universe, they use substantially different play loops. Brave Dungeon asks you to explore, gather and build a party; COMBAT asks you to construct a medal deck and manage tactical duels.

How Brave Dungeon works
Brave Dungeon follows the adventurer Al across Belfer Island while searching for Magic Items powered by Syega Crystals. Exploration supplies the material for its progression systems: enemies and treasure chests provide resources that can be used for item crafting.
Combat and party building
Inside System describes the combat as easy to learn while retaining extensive customization options. You can form a party from distinct playable characters, then adjust the group to suit the threats found in the labyrinths. Character differences and class changes make party planning part of the long-term progression rather than a one-time selection.

Who it is for
Brave Dungeon is the better fit if you want a traditional RPG loop of mapping areas, collecting materials, improving equipment and experimenting with a party. Its optional challenge content is aimed at players who want more than simply reaching the end of the story.
How Dark Witch’s Story: COMBAT’s card battles work
COMBAT rebuilds characters and creatures from The Legend of Dark Witch as a turn-based card game. You select a team of three from more than 40 characters and play best-of-three matches. Each round is a one-on-one duel, so the team choice matters across the match even though only one combatant is directly fighting at a time.

Phases, decks and Syega Crystals
Every turn is divided into Support and Main phases. Your 12-medal deck provides the actions used in battle, including attacks, healing, buffs, debuffs and other effects. Those medals are powered by Syega Crystals, making resource timing as important as choosing the effect itself.
Matchups and team tactics
Attribute matchups create advantages and disadvantages between combatants. Role effects add another layer of planning, while Team Links reward particular combinations within your three-character team. Signature medals give individual characters or strategies distinctive options. The result is a system built around sequencing support effects, selecting the right duelist for each round and preserving resources for later games in the best-of-three set.

Quest Mode and longer-term progression
COMBAT’s single-player Quest Mode contains 45 quests. Battles award experience, characters and medals, allowing you to raise levels, unlock higher ranks and equip skills as you advance. Cleared quests can be replayed with Auto Battle, which is useful for repeating progression runs after you understand a stage.
Some final battles use special rules rather than simply increasing an opponent’s statistics, so the deck and team that work elsewhere may need to be rebuilt for those encounters. The package also includes a card library and replayable story event scenes, giving you reference and narrative content outside active matches.

Which game should you start with?
- Choose Brave Dungeon if you prefer exploration, materials, equipment crafting, class changes and a conventional party RPG.
