Bosscoder School of Technology has announced two free initiatives for school students: BuildX, an online five-week entrepreneurship bootcamp for Classes 11 and 12, and the National Young AI Talent Olympiad (NYATO), a selective, three-stage AI assessment and product-building competition. They are separate programs with different formats and eligibility rules. The announcement appeared in a Mint article dated 1 October 2026, labeled paid consumer-connect content; the official program pages are the better source for current details.
How BuildX and NYATO differ
| Program | Audience | Format | Primary activity |
|---|---|---|---|
| BuildX | Classes 11 and 12 | Online, five weeks across five weekends | Guided product and entrepreneurship journey, ending in a pitch |
| National Young AI Talent Olympiad | Official FAQ: Class 12 students from partner schools | School-based assessment, followed by selective build and campus stages | Assess AI-related aptitude, develop a prototype, and compete in a hackathon |
Both are described as free by Bosscoder, but participation is not identical: BuildX is a cohort-style learning experience, while NYATO advances selected students through successive stages. Neither program page establishes that participants must buy a particular computer, kit, book, or other physical item.
What students do in BuildX
Bosscoder describes BuildX as a hands-on entrepreneurship internship experience rather than a course focused on professional software development. Across five weeks and five weekends, participants move from identifying a problem to building and presenting a product.
- Find a problem: Explore founder mindset and problem discovery.
- Shape an idea: Create a product blueprint and consider how technology could address the problem.
- Build: Use AI and product-building tools to make an initial product or minimum viable product.
- Validate and improve: Gather user feedback, then iterate on the product and its route to market.
- Pitch: Present the work at a pitch day.
The official page does not name a required tool or hardware specification. Completion credentials—a certificate and a letter of recommendation—are tied to required attendance and work. A paid internship may be offered to high-performing students, and a strong product may lead to a seed-funding conversation; neither outcome is promised to every participant.

How the National Young AI Talent Olympiad works
NYATO is structured as three stages, with advancement selective rather than automatic.
Level 1: National AI Aptitude Assessment
The school-based assessment is published as 60 questions in 75 minutes, with a maximum of 100 marks. The listed areas are Mathematics, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical & Analytical Reasoning; Mathematics accounts for 20 questions. The math scope includes material from Classes 11 and 12, such as algebra, functions, coordinate geometry, calculus, probability and statistics, vectors and three-dimensional geometry, and linear programming. These are the currently published program details, not a guarantee that the format will never change.

Level 2: Build With AI
Shortlisted students receive guidance from industry professionals, develop an AI-powered product or prototype, and present a three-minute pitch on YouTube.
Level 3: Grand Finale
Selected students take part in a sponsored campus hackathon, working alongside Bosscoder students on real-world challenges. The official FAQ describes the finale as a two-day hackathon at the Bosscoder School of Technology campus. Top performers can earn a MacBook Air M5 and a paid internship opportunity; the page does not establish that either is a guaranteed reward for all finalists.

NYATO
The official Olympiad FAQ says eligibility is for Class 12 students at partner schools following CBSE, ICSE, or other recognised boards. It says eligible students register through their school for free. Some Bosscoder promotional and blog copy refers to Classes 11 and 12, while the assessment syllabus itself covers both classes’ material. Syllabus coverage does not establish eligibility: students should confirm the current rule with their partner school or Bosscoder before relying on a broader grade range.
The public program information does not fully specify registration dates, which schools are participating, selection criteria, travel coverage, or all reward terms. Prospective participants should ask their school or Bosscoder for those details.

What the announcements do—and do not—establish
These programs offer students structured opportunities to try product-building and AI-oriented work, but the available program descriptions are not independent evidence of educational impact. The Mint launch story is labeled paid consumer-connect content, so its promotional framing and quotations should be understood in that context. No independent learning-outcome or market statistic is established in the cited program material.
BuildX may suit a student seeking a guided, multi-week product journey and presentation experience. NYATO may suit an eligible Class 12 student who wants an assessment followed by the possibility of progressing into a prototype project and competitive hackathon. The published information does not provide comparative outcome data, so it does not support declaring one a better choice overall.
