Adjust the Soundbar 500’s bass in the Bose app

Open the Bose app and select your Soundbar 500.

Open Settings and adjust the bass setting to your preference.

Add the Bass Module 500 and calibrate the system

In the Bose app, select the Soundbar 500 and use Settings to add the bass module.

If you add the module after the soundbar’s initial setup, run ADAPTiQ again to calibrate the system and accessories, as Bose support advises.

Place the module to influence bass output
Bose recommends placing the Bass Module 500 on the floor, against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical outlet nearby. The manufacturer says placing it nearer walls and corners produces more bass, while moving it away produces less. This is placement guidance, not a guaranteed result; room layout and acoustics affect what you hear.

Check the exact Bose model first
“Bose 500” can refer to more than one product, including the separate Smart Speaker 500. These app directions and the compatible bass-module guidance here are for the Bose Soundbar 500. Check the device name in the Bose app or on the product before following them; if the app does not show a Soundbar 500, its controls may not match.
