Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) were reported at $319 by Amazon deal coverage on October 6, 2026—$40 below Bose’s $359 announced preorder and standard price. That is a dated deal report, not confirmation that Amazon still has the headphones at that price. Before buying, check the live listing for the exact model, seller, stock, color, and final checkout price. The October 6 report said Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, so “ahead of Prime Day” may no longer be accurate.
What was the reported $319 deal?
AOB News reported an Amazon price of $319 on October 6, 2026, compared with Bose’s $359 price—a $40 difference. iTechGuides reported the same $319 price at Best Buy on October 5. These are dated retailer-price reports, not live checkout confirmations, and they do not establish that either offer remains available now. AOB News’ October 6 deal report and iTechGuides’ October 5 report are the sources for those snapshots.

The reports do not establish a sale end time, inventory, eligible colors, or whether the listed retailer or a marketplace seller fulfills an order. They also do not establish a lowest-ever price. Treat $319 as a potential deal to verify, not a guaranteed current price.
How to verify the headphones before you buy
- Confirm the product title says Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen). Do not confuse it with the original QuietComfort or the QuietComfort Ultra.
- Check the live listing’s seller and fulfillment details, available color, stock status, and price at checkout. A search result or old deal article is not enough to confirm the offer.
- Compare the checkout price with Bose’s product page and check the applicable return policy. Bose lists the model at $359 and describes a 30-day return policy for purchases made directly from Bose; retailer terms may differ. Bose’s product page has the manufacturer’s current product and policy details.
- If buying direct from Bose, review its price-match terms: Bose says a lower price from Bose.com or select authorized Bose dealers may qualify within 14 days of purchase, subject to the policy’s conditions.
What the second-generation model offers
Bose announced QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) on August 6, 2026. Its announcement set a $359 preorder price, with preorders beginning August 8 and shipping starting August 13. Bose’s announcement says the model adds TrueSpatial Technology and Still, Motion, and Cinema listening modes, features the company said had previously been exclusive to its QuietComfort Ultra series.
#1 Best Overall
- MODERN, UPDATED DESIGN: A sleek, streamlined take on the original noise cancelling headphones. All-new pill-shaped earcups and an adjustable sliding headband hit on contemporary design trends and modern aesthetics.
- COMFORTABLE FIT: The new headband is wider than the previous gen, and adds more of the supple, synthetic leather found on the earcups. The headphones strike the right balance of clamping force and comfort for a secure fit and lightweight feel.
- IMPROVED AUDIO PERFORMANCE: The addition of Bose TrueSpatial Technology gives listeners a more natural, immersive experience — no matter the content. QC Headphones (2nd Gen) now also feature high-fidelity lossless audio delivered by USB-C connection.
- LEGENDARY NOISE CANCELLING: Legendary Bose QuietControl noise cancelling technology includes updated ActiveSense Tech for adaptive acoustic noise reduction to smooth unwanted spikes in noise when listening in Aware Mode.
- MORE MODES: In addition to Quiet Mode for full noise cancelling and Aware Mode for transparency, these headphones now include Immersion, Cinema Mode, and ANR off. Cinema Mode enhances video content for an immersive experience with more layered sound.
Bose’s product page lists active noise cancellation, Bluetooth multipoint, and up to 24 hours of battery life—or up to 18 hours with Immersive Audio. Bose also claims a 15-minute quick charge provides up to 2.5 hours of use. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results; battery life depends on the listening mode and use. The product page lists Quiet, Aware, Immersion, Cinema, and Off modes.
Is $40 off enough reason to buy?
If the live checkout price is $319 for the exact second-generation model, it is $40 below the $359 price Bose announced and lists—a roughly 11% reduction. Whether that is worth buying depends on your priorities and the terms of the listing. The sources establish no price history or independent comparison with rival headphones, so they cannot show that $319 is the lowest price ever or prove these headphones outperform alternatives.

- Consider buying if you want this specific model, value Bose’s TrueSpatial modes, and confirm the final price, seller, and return terms meet your needs.
- Pause and compare if you are choosing among headphones: check each option’s verified current price, included case and accessories, return terms, battery-life claim for the mode you will use, and whether spatial listening features matter to you.
Bose’s support page identifies the model as sold from 2026 and lists firmware 8.3.0, dated August 13, 2026, with release notes reading “Product launch.” Bose support details provide that version history.
