Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds connect to compatible USB-C phones, tablets and computers, adding active noise cancellation without Bluetooth pairing or an earbud battery to recharge. They draw operating power from the connected device, so USB-C audio support matters: a USB-C-shaped port alone does not guarantee compatibility.
How the wired USB-C connection works
The earbuds connect directly by USB-C and do not require Bluetooth pairing. Bose says they are designed for compatible USB-C phones, tablets and computers. Because the connected device supplies power for the earbuds’ functions, including noise cancellation, Bose says non-USB adapters will not work. Check that your device supports USB-C audio and that any adapter you plan to use is compatible; do not assume every USB-C port or adapter will carry audio.

Bose specifies a 4.2-foot cable. The connection avoids wireless pairing and a separate earbud charging routine, but it also means the listening device must remain physically connected.
Noise-control modes and controls
The earbuds offer three modes: Quiet uses noise cancellation, Aware lets ambient sound in, and ANC Off provides wired listening without active cancellation. Bose describes physical inline controls for volume, playback, calls and switching ANC modes.

Bose’s 28 September 2026 launch announcement says there are four ANC microphones—two on each earbud—and a dedicated microphone on the inline remote for calls. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of cancellation or call performance.
Do they need charging?
No internal battery needs recharging. Bose says the earbuds draw operating power over USB from the connected device, including for ANC. That removes charging the earbuds as a separate task, but Bose does not establish the effect on a particular phone, tablet or computer’s battery life.

Bose states a fixed playback output of 24-bit/48 kHz and describes the product as supporting lossless listening. That is a specification, not proof of audible superiority; no independent listening test or sound-quality comparison is established here.

They may suit listeners who want a cable connection and active noise-control modes but do not want Bluetooth pairing or a separate earbud battery to charge. They are a less straightforward choice if you need wireless freedom, your device lacks USB-C audio support, or you cannot confirm adapter compatibility. Bose’s launch materials describe features, but do not establish independent results for sound quality, ANC effectiveness, long-term comfort or call clarity in noisy surroundings.
