Bosch’s specification is clear on its layout, power and installation dimensions, but public review evidence is limited: CHOICE’s score is behind a membership wall, while owner comments are few and mixed. Bosch also marks it no longer available in several markets, so check local stock and the exact model before planning an installation.
What is the Bosch PUE611BB1E?
It is a built-in electric induction hob with a black ceramic surface, frameless edges and four cooking positions. Bosch’s UK/Irish specification calls it a 60 cm Series 4 model. The rings are fixed rather than a flexible bridge zone, so the layout suits separate pans but does not create one extended cooking area.

The model has no Home Connect app control or PerfectFry automatic frying-temperature control listed on Bosch’s New Zealand product page. Buyers seeking connected controls, a bridge zone or automatic pan-temperature management should compare those features explicitly in any alternative.
Cooking zones and power
| Zone | Diameter | Rated power | PowerBoost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two zones | 180 mm each | 1.8 kW each | 3.1 kW each |
| One zone | 145 mm | 1.4 kW | 2.2 kW |
| One zone | 210 mm | 2.2 kW | 3.7 kW |
These are individual zone ratings in Bosch’s UK/Irish specification, not a promise that every zone can sustain its maximum at once. The hob’s stated connected load is 4.6 kW, and Bosch provides power-management options for 10A, 13A or 16A connections, subject to the installation’s fuse protection. The total connected load is the relevant planning figure; do not add the zone boost figures and treat the sum as continuously available.

Those features cover common tasks such as selecting a zone, adjusting heat and setting a timer. The model does not list app control, and the fixed rings do not offer a combined bridge area. If control visibility matters, try the interface in person where possible: some owners have said the markings are difficult to read.

What do reviews say about performance?
CHOICE has a product-specific expert test page with categories for cooking performance, ease of use, low heat and high heat. Its accessible listing restricts the expert rating, scores, pros and cons to members, so there is no public result to report from that page: CHOICE’s Bosch PUE611BB1E review.
ProductReview.com.au displayed six owner reviews and a 3.2/5 aggregate when indexed. The comments are mixed: some describe satisfactory everyday use, while others report power reductions when several zones or boost are used, and some mention hard-to-read controls. One owner described using all four zones after new wiring; other commenters described power dropping with multiple plates or three-plus zones. These are individual accounts, not controlled tests, verified fault rates or proof of the hob’s precise load-sharing behaviour: owner reviews on ProductReview.com.au.

Availability and what to check before buying
Bosch product pages in the UAE, New Zealand and Ireland showed the PUE611BB1E as no longer available. That indicates market-specific unavailability, not that it has been discontinued worldwide or that every retailer has run out of remaining stock. Check Bosch’s regional listings for the UAE and New Zealand, and confirm local service support; Bosch also has an Egypt service listing for variant PUE611BB1E/01.

- Check the worktop cutout, depth, thickness and ventilation against the installation documentation.
- Ask an installer to assess the electrical connection and power limit for your home rather than assuming a listed amperage option is suitable.
- If you need cookware, Bosch lists the HEZ9SE030 set (two pots and one pan) as an optional accessory; induction-compatible cookware is not necessarily a reason to replace every pan you own.
Verdict
The PUE611BB1E is a conventional four-zone induction hob whose strongest buying case is a standard 60 cm layout, familiar touch functions and clearly specified installation dimensions. Its main cautions are the lack of flexible-zone or connected features, limited publicly accessible independent test results, mixed but sparse owner feedback, and market-dependent availability. Consider it only after confirming the exact local model, installation fit and electrical suitability.
