The Bosch HBG7741B1A is a 71-litre Series 8 built-in oven with 14 listed heating modes, including Air Fry and 3D Hotair, plus pyrolytic cleaning and Home Connect support. Its specification is attractive for households seeking a versatile 60 x 60 cm oven, but the key buying checks are whether its installation requirements suit your kitchen and whether the features deliver the results you want: independent performance testing for this exact model is not established here.

What is the Bosch HBG7741B1A?

The HBG7741B1A is a black Bosch Series 8 electric built-in oven, identified by Bosch as a 60 x 60 cm model. Bosch lists a 71-litre cavity, 14 heating modes and Home Connect support. Those specifications make it a feature-rich option for everyday baking and roasting, with specialist modes for tasks such as air frying and pizza cooking. They do not, by themselves, demonstrate how well it performs against other ovens.

Bosch Australia displays a rating of 4.9 from 84 reviews on its product page. That is manufacturer-hosted rating information; the page does not establish a methodology that makes it comparable to independent testing or other retailers’ ratings.

Will it fit your kitchen?

Check the installation drawing for the exact model sold in your country before ordering. Bosch publishes appliance dimensions of 595 mm high, 594 mm wide and 548 mm deep. The installation niche listed in Bosch Australia’s specification sheet and Bosch UK support material is 585–595 mm high, 560–568 mm wide and 550 mm deep. Cabinet cut-outs, ventilation and clearances still need to meet the local installation instructions.

Electrical requirements also vary by market. Bosch Australia lists a 3,600 W connection rating, 220–240 V supply and a 16 A fuse. Bosch UK says the oven has no plug and must be electrically connected by an electrician. Use the instructions for your local version and have electrical work handled by a suitably licensed professional; do not assume the Australian figures apply elsewhere.

Cooking modes: what Air Fry and 3D Hotair mean

Bosch UK lists 14 heating modes. The New Zealand specification gives a temperature range of 30–300 °C and names modes including Air Fry, 3D Hotair, grill, pizza, low-temperature cooking, defrost and keep warm. The available documents establish that these modes are listed, not independent results for this oven.

Air Fry

Air Fry is included among the listed modes. Bosch’s Australian specification sheet names the HEZ629070 Air Fry & Grill tray as an accessory, while the New Zealand document refers to an Air Fry & Grill tray. Confirm the exact accessory code, regional compatibility and package contents with the seller before buying a separate tray; the documentation cited here does not establish that it is included with every regional package.

3D Hotair

Bosch Australia describes 3D Hotair as offering “Even heat distribution for perfect results on up to three levels.” That is Bosch’s feature description, not an independently verified outcome for the HBG7741B1A. If baking on multiple levels is important, look for testing of this exact oven or assess it yourself rather than treating the wording as a guarantee.

Cleaning: pyrolytic and hydrolytic programs

Bosch UK lists “Pyrolytic+Hydrolytic” cleaning. The New Zealand specification describes pyrolytic cleaning and an Easy Clean program. Pyrolytic cleaning uses a high-temperature cycle to break down suitable oven soil; Easy Clean or hydrolytic programs are separate cleaning aids. Bosch’s documentation does not establish that every type of residue will disappear without follow-up wiping, so check the local manual for cycle use, safety instructions and what cleaning is still required.

Home Connect and connected controls

Home Connect is listed for the model. Bosch UK specifies remote monitoring and control, while the New Zealand specification describes app-based controls and software updates. Using connected features depends on setup and may require a suitable network, account and app; available functions can vary by region. Check the local Home Connect information for the features supported where you live before making connectivity a deciding factor.

What the available evidence says about performance

The published specifications establish capacity, modes, temperature range in the New Zealand document, cleaning features and connectivity. They do not establish independent comparative results for cooking evenness, air-frying quality, cleaning effectiveness, energy use in real-world cooking or performance against named competitors. Bosch’s feature language and its own hosted rating should therefore be treated as product information, not substitutes for a documented independent test.

Who should consider the HBG7741B1A?

  • Consider it if you want a 71-litre built-in oven with a broad set of listed modes, including Air Fry, and Home Connect support, and your kitchen and electrical installation meet the local requirements.
  • Check further before buying if installation space is tight, you need a confirmed included Air Fry tray, or you rely on a particular connected feature. Regional drawings, packages and app functions matter.
  • Compare or seek a hands-on test if your decision depends mainly on proven cooking results, cleaning performance or value against another model. The available evidence does not provide an independent comparison or a current cross-market price basis.

Price and availability are regional and change over time. Bosch Australia displayed AUD $1,899 including GST and an offer through 31 October 2026 when its page was accessed in 2026; that is a time- and market-specific listing, not a current price guarantee or a price for other countries.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
