The Bosch HBA572ES3A is a 60 cm built-in electric oven with a 71-litre cavity, seven listed heating methods—including AirFry—and pyrolytic cleaning. Its official specifications make it worth considering if you want those features, but fit and electrical connection need checking before purchase: Bosch’s Australian product page says it has no plug and must be connected by a licensed electrician. Bosch’s published feature list is not independent evidence of cooking performance, reliability or noise.

What the Bosch HBA572ES3A offers

Bosch Australia identifies the HBA572ES3A as a Series 6, stainless-steel, 60 x 60 cm built-in oven. Bosch’s Australian specification sheet lists a 71-litre usable cavity, five shelf levels, one level of telescopic rail and a temperature range of 30–275 °C.

The seven listed heating methods are AirFry, full-width grill, Hotair gentle, 3D Hotair, top/bottom heating, pizza setting and hot-air grilling. These are manufacturer-listed modes; the specifications do not establish how evenly or quickly the oven cooks compared with other models. Bosch also says this model does not support Home Connect Wi-Fi.

See Bosch’s HBA572ES3A product page and Australian product specification sheet for the published features.

Will it fit your kitchen?

Do not rely on the nominal 60 cm size alone. Bosch lists appliance dimensions of 595 x 594 x 548 mm (height x width x depth) and a required installation niche of 585–595 x 560–568 x 550 mm. Measure the cabinet opening, including depth, and check the installation instructions before ordering.

Electrical connection

The specification sheet lists a 3,600 W connection rating, 220–240 V supply, 16 A fuse protection and a 120 cm electrical supply cord. Bosch’s Australian product page says the oven has no plug and must be connected by a licensed electrician. Have an electrician confirm that the circuit and connection arrangement at your home are suitable; do not assume the existing oven’s plug or wiring will work.

AirFry, accessories and included equipment

The specification sheet lists three included accessories: an Air Fry & Grill tray, a combination grid and a universal pan. Bosch therefore lists an Air Fry & Grill tray as part of the supplied equipment; an additional tray is optional, not a necessary included upgrade. Check the exact retailer bundle before buying, since package details can vary.

Bosch lists these items as optional accessories for the model: HEZ327000 pizza stone, HEZ32WA00 wireless food thermometer, HEZ530000 half tray, HEZ531010 non-stick ceramic-coated baking tray, HEZ532010 non-stick ceramic-coated universal pan, HEZ538000 one-fold telescopic rail, HEZ629070 Air Fry & Grill tray, HEZ631070 enamelled baking tray, HEZ634000 baking and roasting grid and HEZ638000 full-extension rails. Confirm compatibility and availability with Bosch or the retailer before purchase.

How pyrolytic cleaning works—and what it requires

The HBA572ES3A offers pyrolytic self-cleaning and Cleaning Assistance (HydroClean). Bosch’s manual describes pyrolysis as burning cooking residues inside the oven; after the oven has cooled, the remaining ash can be wiped away. The manual gives approximate cycle times of 1 hour 15 minutes on low, 1 hour 30 minutes on medium and 2 hours on high. It estimates energy use at approximately 2.5–4.8 kWh per cleaning cycle. Those figures are from Bosch’s HBA572E.3A manual, published in 2024; check the manual supplied with the appliance for its exact revision.

Before and during a cleaning cycle

  • Remove cookware and accessories from the oven. Do not put accessories through the pyrolytic cycle.
  • Remove coarse dirt and leave the oven empty.
  • Ventilate the kitchen while the function runs. Bosch warns that vapours may irritate mucous membranes and advises keeping children and pets away.
  • Expect the appliance and door to become very hot. Bosch warns that loose residues can ignite; do not scrub or remove the door seal.
  • After the oven has cooled, wipe away the ash. Bosch says white residue from heavy soiling is harmless and may be removed with lemon juice.

These precautions come from Bosch’s HBA572E.3A user manual and installation instructions, including its pyrolytic-cleaning section.

What this review can—and cannot—establish

The manufacturer’s published specifications establish the listed capacity, dimensions, modes, accessories and cleaning instructions. They do not establish independent cooking-test results, long-term reliability, noise levels or comparative performance. Treat claims about features as Bosch’s descriptions, not as independently verified outcomes.

Bosch’s product page names E&S, Appliances Online, Bing Lee and Bosch as retailer options. It also displayed a 4.5 rating with 36 reviews in the page version inspected; that is a changeable on-page snapshot, not a verified independent test or a rating with an established methodology. Check current stock, price, delivery, installation, warranty terms and package contents with the seller before buying. Bosch also discloses a commercial relationship with a retailer on its page.

Who should consider the HBA572ES3A?

  • It may suit you if you want a 71-litre built-in oven with AirFry, several other listed cooking modes and pyrolytic cleaning, and your cabinet opening and electrical installation meet Bosch’s requirements.
  • Look more closely before choosing it if you need Wi-Fi/Home Connect, cannot arrange a licensed-electrician connection, or need independent evidence about cooking results, noise or durability. The available Bosch specifications do not answer those performance questions.

When comparing it with another oven, check usable capacity, exact niche dimensions, electrical requirements, modes and temperature range, cleaning method and energy use, included accessories and telescopic rails, connectivity, and the retailer’s current total cost and installation terms.
