To solve Nyxara’s laser dial in Black Ops 7 Zombies, reveal it by going prone on the Main Chamber floor plate, raise it with a charged Warden’s Blight shot, and redirect the beam low onto the south wall. Kill zombies beneath the dial until the wall cracks, then clear the chamber’s four Shadow Souls and complete the final cleanse. This is the Nyxara Sanctuary step in the Rex Infernus quest—not the earlier crystal-routing puzzle used to unlock Warden’s Blight.
What to prepare before entering the laser step
The dial is one stage of the larger Nyxara Sanctuary cleanse. Before starting, make sure the Nexus Forge is repaired and aligned, and bring the quest items and weapon setup needed for the sequence.

- Repair the Nexus Forge with the Void Talon, then turn its three cranks until the blue beam enters Nyxara’s dragon head.
- Have a Void Claw, a Pack-a-Punched Warden’s Blight, Shadow Rift Ammo Mod, and Astral Flame available.
- The Nyxara Inner Sanctum is a useful place to farm zombies for the Ancient Scroll.
- Completing the Veytharion blocks puzzle unlocks the blue well used to trigger rain during the final cleanse.
The separate crystal-beam puzzle belongs to the Warden’s Blight unlock sequence; it is not the Nyxara laser dial.

Get the Ancient Scroll and make the offering
Farm the scroll
Equip Shadow Rift and kill zombies until an activation of the mod produces the Ancient Scroll. The drop is random, so keep killing until it appears; the Inner Sanctum’s steady spawns make it a convenient farming location. Place the scroll in the central brazier in Nyxara’s Main Chamber.

Ignite the scroll and sacrifice the marked zombie
- Use the Void Claw to pull a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch.
- Rotate the Nexus Forge cranks until the braziers burn purple.
- Take an Astral Flame and throw it at the scroll brazier.
- Find the nearby zombie marked by red mist. Do not kill it; escort it to the Titan’s gauntlets in Veytharion Passage and activate the Titan Trap.
- Listen for Nyxara’s line. Her dialogue confirms the offering registered.
Reveal and raise the laser dial
- Return to Nyxara’s Main Chamber and interact with the floor tablet in front of the brazier.
- Go prone on the tablet and stay there until it slides away and exposes the dial. The animation can take time and may extend into the next round, so do not stand up early.
- Hit the exposed dial with a charged Warden’s Blight shot to raise it.
Redirect the beam and charge the wall
Shoot the dial’s rings to steer the laser toward a low point on the south wall. Use the middle ring for small adjustments. The target is described broadly as the low south wall, with some guides placing it toward the far bottom-left or near the lava pit; there is no established fixed dial setting or exact coordinate.
Once the beam is aimed low, kill zombies directly beneath the floating dial. Their souls feed the mechanism. Watch the south wall for cracks: that is the alignment cue. If kills are not producing cracks, make small adjustments farther down the wall and continue killing beneath the dial. The aim is reported to be unforgiving, so use the cracks rather than trying to match an assumed exact angle.

Open the wall and clear the chamber
- When the wall opens, shoot the revealed stone head.
- Kill all four Shadow Souls. Check both levels of the chamber if one is missing.
- After all four are dead, shoot the statue again until the screen flashes white.
The wall opening alone does not complete this stage; the Shadow Souls and white-flash cue are part of the sequence.
Finish the Nyxara cleanse
- Go to Nyxara’s Passage and use the Void Claw to move a purple orb directly beneath her dragon head.
- Hit the orb with a charged Warden’s Blight shot. Purple eyes on Nyxara confirm the orb is in position.
- If it is not raining, interact with the blue well unlocked by the Veytharion blocks puzzle. Rain begins on the following round.
- Get a fresh Astral Flame and throw it at Nyxara’s forehead. Lightning striking her head confirms the cleanse.
Troubleshoot the Nyxara laser and cleanse cues
