Bluehost Catalog Health: What the AI Store Score Means and How to Use It

Bluehost AI Store’s Catalog Health report is an AI-assisted diagnostic and task list for product listings—not a published measure of sales potential. Find it in AI Insights → Agent Reports → Catalog Health Agent to review readiness labels, three performance areas, and product-level recommendations. Bluehost does not disclose the score formula or evidence that a higher score improves sales, search ranking, or channel acceptance.

What Bluehost Catalog Health measures

Bluehost describes Catalog Health as ongoing analysis of an online store by multiple AI agents. In AI Insights, the Coordinator Agent presents store-wide tasks, while the Catalog Health Agent provides a more detailed report with an overall score, readiness groups, performance areas, and recommendations for individual products. Bluehost’s Catalog Health guide, updated August 20, 2026, describes the feature and its displayed categories.

Think of the score as a diagnostic snapshot and work queue. Bluehost’s documentation does not explain how the score is calculated or weighted, or establish that a higher score leads to more sales, better search placement, or acceptance by a sales channel. Fixing an alert may improve the relevant listing, but it is not a guarantee of a commercial result.

Where to find the report

  1. Sign in to the Bluehost Portal and open Websites.
  2. Find the relevant Sell Online plan and select Manage Store.
  3. In the store dashboard, select AI Insights.
  4. Review Action Plan for prioritized store-wide tasks. Bluehost groups them under Do Today, Do This Week, and Improve When Possible.
  5. Open Agent Reports, expand Catalog Health Agent, and review the score, readiness counts, performance bars, and product-level actions.

Catalog-tagged Action Plan tasks can point to structural issues affecting multiple products. For detailed metrics and individual product problems, Bluehost directs users to the Catalog Health Agent report.

How to read the report

Sellability

This area concerns whether product information supports a usable, publishable listing. Bluehost gives valid prices and current descriptions as examples of details to check.

Discovery

This area concerns listing completeness and organization. Product descriptions and category assignments are examples of item-level recommendations; Bluehost does not publish a complete formula for how these factors contribute to the score.

Operations

This area covers operational readiness and channel synchronization. The Action Plan may flag products that are not listing on Google Shopping, Meta, or Amazon, as well as missing SKUs or pricing-monitor alerts.

Readiness labels

The report distinguishes Ready to Sell, Ready to Rank, and Ready to Sync. Treat these as separate statuses shown by the agent, not as interchangeable measures. Bluehost’s available guide does not set out exact acceptance criteria for each label.

Severity and timing

Action Plan timing groups and item-level tags—CRITICAL, HIGH, MEDIUM, and LOW—offer prioritization cues. The documentation does not prescribe a universal fix order beyond those cues.

How to prioritize and verify fixes

A practical approach is to handle critical publishing blockers and missing essentials first, then move to lower-severity discovery or operational improvements. That is a way to use the dashboard’s priorities, not a Bluehost promise about results.

  • Check severity: Start with a critical or high-severity issue when it prevents a product from being listed or synchronized.
  • Check scope: Determine whether the task affects one item or points to a structural issue across several products.
  • Check the channel: Identify whether the affected listing is on your store or a connected channel such as Google Shopping, Meta, or Amazon.
  • Check the product and channel after editing: Confirm the corrected price, description, category, SKU, or listing status where the issue occurred.

The right correction depends on the product and channel. A recommendation is a prompt to inspect the affected record, not a substitute for checking that the listing is accurate and usable.

Product details and related tools

Bluehost’s product-management guide, updated August 14, 2026, covers fields including SKU, barcode, and inventory. Its AI Store Insights guide, updated August 30, 2026, says the Catalog Health Agent monitors product details, SKUs, and imagery. Missing images or product details may therefore be worth investigating when an alert points to them.

A barcode scanner may suit a merchant who already maintains barcode-based records for physical inventory, but the cited Bluehost guidance does not say that a scanner integrates with AI Store or changes the health score. Photography lights and shipping scales may serve particular store workflows, but they are not necessary to understand the report.

What the score cannot tell you

Bluehost’s published guidance does not disclose the score calculation, the weighting of Sellability, Discovery, and Operations, the exact criteria behind readiness labels, or a guaranteed refresh schedule. An agent’s last-run timestamp, where shown, is not a service-level promise for when the report updates. The official materials cited here also do not establish through an independent study that using the score improves sales, rankings, or listing approvals.

Bluehost’s Agent Reports guide includes an illustrative score dial and sample alerts; these are interface examples, not results from a measured group of stores. Use your own product records and channel status to judge whether a suggested fix worked. For feature details, see Bluehost’s AI Store overview, updated August 18, 2026.
