Choose the Daikin model if its specific features and fit suit you
The cited FTKU50XV listing includes self-diagnosis, a filter-clean indicator, and 3D airflow. It also states an operating range of 10–55°C and a voltage range of 130–285 V. Those are model-specific specifications, not evidence that every Daikin AC has the same features or ranges.
Let the room and the actual quote settle a close choice
If both models meet your cooling needs, compare written installed prices and authorized service options for your pin code. Neither the cited specifications nor the available service information establish a brand-wide winner for performance, reliability, or local value.

How to compare ACs for your home
- Confirm the required capacity. Room area is only one factor. Sun exposure, ceiling height, occupancy, insulation, local weather, and adjoining spaces also affect cooling load. The product pages state model capacity; they do not calculate what your room needs. Ask an installer to validate sizing.
- Check the exact model and BEE label year. Record the model number, label year, star rating, ISEER, and rated cooling capacity from the unit being offered. A “5-star” label without the year and model is not a complete comparison.
- Estimate electricity use using your own routine. Consider expected hours of operation and realistic settings. The Daikin page lists 678.92 kWh annual consumption. That manufacturer figure is not a guarantee of your household’s bill; use, climate, installation, temperature settings, and model differences affect actual consumption.
- Compare warranty coverage, not just duration. Ask what parts are covered, when coverage applies, and whether registration or other conditions are required. Check exclusions and possible labor, gas, or transport charges for the exact model and seller.
- Get comparable local installation and service quotes. Ask what installation includes and whether extra piping, electrical work, drain routing, or service travel costs extra. Confirm authorized service access for your installation pin code.
- Pay for features you will use. Compare the controls and conveniences on the exact shortlisted models rather than assuming a feature belongs to every unit from a brand.
Why label year and model number matter
A different Blue Star listing shows how easily figures can be misread. The 2025-label T Series IC518TNUR is listed at 1.5 ton and ISEER 5.05, with annual electricity consumption of 783.33 kWh on a stated 1,600-hour basis (Blue Star product listing). These figures are for a different model and label year than the 2026 examples above; they should not be treated as a controlled comparison with either one.

Label ratings and product specifications can change. Verify the model number and label year on the actual unit offered. Daikin says its ratings follow Bureau of Energy Efficiency norms (Daikin product listing). Standardized annual-consumption values can help compare listings, but do not translate a difference between different models or label years directly into guaranteed bill savings.
